For a long time I have wondered if the benefits of a SRI outweigh the extra heat they breathe in, if any. So I data logged my results through my video and listed them out for you so you can decide for yourselves. Thanks for watching!
For the sound and bump in top end that I've felt I say it is. I'm going to leave my OEM box in for a while and see if I can notice any more differences. Its like a 5 minute swap to go back which is nice. Its literally 2 bolts and 4 fasteners total.
Have the same problem with phone tipping over in that spot. Made me laugh when i saw yours do the same....i added a tiny piece of velcro back there (usb ports are in the center cubby on my manual '16) so my phone will stay propped up....of course this requires velcro on the back of your phone case, which i always add, but not for everyone as it looks like sh*t on the phone...on the car though it's unnoticeable unless lit up and pointed out.
Haha yea its a pain. Ive gotta get one of those phone cases that has the kickstand. But i used to do that velcro trick on past phones. I prefer no velcro now :D
Thanks! I still havent put the intake back on since doing this test. I preferred the lower end torque over high end power. Plus it was too much noise when combined with my Borla exhaust. All that being said, I will eventually put it back on just to give another go at it. Adds a different element to the car for sure.
The Adventure Mazda I have put a short ram intake on my car but I just recently switched over to my stock air box because it pulls in more cold air and it makes my car idle better for what ever reason. And the car is tuned for the stock airbox
The manufacturers design vehicles and program the computer to use the factory air box. To see optimal results you would need to install a proper cold air intake and a proper exhaust and then reprogram the computer and do a proper tuning on the engine just adding bolt on parts isn't worth it in my opinion unless you're going to go all the way.
Dylan Klemp Some good ol' plasti dip. I left emblems on the car and taped a square around it, then peeled. I used a toothpick to get remaining from in between letters.
@@TheAdventureAuto Getting ready to dip my emblems. So you didnt tape it completely off? The spray that got on your paint peeled right off with no issue?
