Once again, really appreciate the video Jay. I would greatly appreciate if you can give me some quick feedback on the following sentenses: Jane experienced a stroke when she was two weeks old, which subsequently led to her current condition, Cerebral Palsy. Jane is capable of using current technologies such as computer, phone and dictation software. Jane lives independently with a rehabilitation assistant who takes care of shopping and errand for her. Jane is unable to walk and therefore requires the use of a power wheelchair for mobility at all time.

Hi Jay. Yeah you are right at 12:24. There was a slight misinterpretation about Jane's age. However, for me I would also think that Jane had a stroke "2 weeks ago" as I haven't heard any case of a newborn that suffered a stroke at such a young age. Thank you.

If the medical professionals concentrate they can figure out the answer. Specifically about Cerebral palsy which happens in infancy not adulthood.

Since we are not allowed to make notes during the 5 minutes of reading time, can someone who has experience with OET tell me whether or not are we allowed to highlight case notes or given a blank paper to structure the writing/ para before actually writing the letter into the answer booklet? Hi there.. excellent video there... the case note that says 2-weeks old stroke- ....(in a real-case scenario)....will somehow be interpreted as a stroke that happened two-weeks ago... that explains why some healthcare providers may answer it that way... However, because it resulted to C.P then it gives us a hint that it happened Long time ago..

Maybe in pediatrics we've studied about cerebral palsy that's why it was surprising people were suggesting "had cerebral palsy" or "two weeks ago":D

How will you do a word count or know if you done 180-200 words that OET requiring you to write? Do you have time to count your words before the time is up?
