the Oblivion armor looks the most babylonian/mezopotamian in style, and I heard theories that the Morrowind one was a dwemer equivalent of a hazard suit
It just occurred to me today, during my morning ablutions: perhaps the Telvanni vault is relatively bare because the individual wizard lords prefer to place trust in their personal household staff for security. Maybe a centralised vault is some sort of requirement for all the great houses, or someone lower down in the chain thought it was a good idea, but the wizards jealously guard their prizes. It's easier to steal from one location than several, they figure. So when a letter comes through the post asking them to donate items for storage, they laugh and ask a retainer, "What sort of crap do we have taking up space around the tower?"
you should do a lore friendly morrowind mod setup with a list. Add in all the expansion mods youve used, script extenders, etc. a full guide to modding morrowind the way you like it. I know i would steal your setup.
AshFall, Glow in the Dahrk, Fair Magicka Regen, Expansion Delay, Weapon Sheathing plus the common patches you'll find in Nexus top files list. Visuals: MGE, Animation Compilation, MET 4.1
Thanks for featuring Ancient Foes! I admit, I may have underestimated the difficulty a bit when designing that one, but at the time, I wanted to make a more late-game dungeon delving quest mod since I felt there was a bit of a content gap at that level range in the vanilla game. That said, if you're looking for a tomb to turn into a player home, there's always my other mod, "Of Dungeons and Abodes", though that one's more of a typical player home really.
doing ODAA was my original plan, but the Bitter Cost is somewhat out of the way and incompatible with the narrative I wanted to establish in the video. I still might do it later with a different character since the velothi-type design would be a good fit for a dunmer c*nservative playthrough
I've been playing 1 game this whole year and that's morrowind. Your're reviews for tamriel rebuilt just extended my campaign for several years at this stage lol. Great channel dude you make great content.
@@jlaw131985 I’ve easily sunk at least twice as much time into the Elder Scrolls games than any other (Fallout series is a close contender though). Out of all the Elder Scrolls games, the only main quest I’ve actually completed was for Oblivion about 15 years ago on the good old xbox 360.
I discovered your channel a couple of days ago and finished watching everything today. Almost felt a bit melancholic, but lo and behold! A new episode! Keep it up, best gaming youtube channel I've found since I stumbled across Accursed Farms and Mandalore Gaming years ago.
@@legion999 No game is supposed to be cheesed and exploited, that's simply how most Morrowind players enjoy it. Morrowind is indeed supposed to have very powerful, unbalanced systems like magic, enchantments and alchemy, but you're definitely not supposed to be able to do the most common exploits using those systems. They're just oversights. For example, getting the Boots of Blinding Speed and pairing them with another enchantment (as well as some equip/unequip fuckery) to remove the blindness downside forever. You essentially turn your character into sonic, permanently, with literally no negatives - and it's clearly not supposed to work that way. Or that one trick where you make a custom spell which gives you a ton of fortified magicka/int/speed for 1 second and also casts levitation, which allows you to cast a very cheap and low mana cost levitation spell which acts as a max level insanely expensive levitation spell. I love Morrowind and the insane stuff it lets you do, but these are obviously oversights and it irks me when people act as if it's intended to be this way so they can convince themselves they're not cheating lol
All your Morrowind videos kept having me on the cusp of a reinstall, and this video actually got me to seal the deal. Amazing shit as always Warlock! EDIT: Christ the mods have really upped their game in the past 5 years
Actually since you showcased Tamriel Rebuilt, I installed it and Uvirith’s Legacy, got to Telvanni Archmagister and completed probably most of the content from both Vanilla(and expansions) and Tamriel Rebuilt. Then I started a new character with Building Up Uvirith’s Legacy and Morrowind Rebirth added on top, got to Master of House Telvanni, and have made it through a lot of the content again, including some stuff I had missed. And now you’re making me want to start a new character with Of Ash and Blight (because I assume it isn’t compatible with Morrowind Rebirth, and while I love some of the rebalance changes for it, and some of the content, a lot of the new quests feel “moddy” like you had said before.) I might have a problem. Also I really should just start getting into helping out Tamriel Rebuilt. I obviously have the time, and I would hope the lore knowledge by now lol.
Absolutely love your videos, Morrowind especially! If you're still taking fall damage you likely applied the slow fall overhaul in Morrowind code patch.
"A Khajiit ratcatcher is what's needed, but Imperial Law prevents Varo from owning slaves. Indentured servants on the other hand..." You could just pay the Khajiit. Varo: ..... do what now?
You have easily the most underrated channel I've seen in a while. On the plus side, at least I'll be able to brag about being here sub-10,000 when you start pushing 100k.
Honestly, really enjoying your content. I think i got recommended your Sonora video & another one, but really glad i checked them out. So many interesting things you have shown me, in old games. Played both fallout 1 & 2, as well as tactics, though this was after fallout 3. It was hard to adjust to them, and they were hard as fuck. Whilst i wont go through such pains of getting the games to run again as well as the torturous gameplay, i do enjoy yuor narrative reviews of them. The subtlety with which you show off the mod or game, it is a fine balance you have. Also, the smoking Pepe is chefs kiss
Fucking amazing video again. Top quality content right here. Also, you kinda surprised me. As a zoomer who started playing Morrowind like 1 year ago, even I played the whole Bloodmoon expansion. It was pretty good, but I guess I still prefer Tribunal. I've also experienced reverse-nostalgia (or whatever the hell it is) with BM. Because I played Skyrim's Solstheim beforehand. It definitely felt weird seeing the beginning of the colony after witnessing that ashy hell in Skyrim.
Not gonna lie I laughed like a fool when you showed off the crypts being used as glorified storehouses by the Telvanni, that's brilliant world building on the TR team's part. Great video.
I'm gonna say that a new outfit signals that we are in Season 2 of The Adkventure Also it will be interesting to see what (if anything) TR does with the sload when they release Deshaan, as I believe it's canon that the Dres trade with them.
Actually, the Vos farmers tend to the marshmerrow stalks down on the beach and gather wickwheat from the fields where it grows freely, and presumably work the eggmine under Tel Vos when it's not blighted.
I use your videos to practice my english listening level (You have a clean voice (and of course I love TES games)). I really love your job with the channel, still like that. I'll waiting patiently for more!

Came back to finish the video today (I didn’t see it until late here) and I would recommend some luck buffs (especially if you do potions) if you want to do the maximum enchants. Not sure if you know that trick, since it slipped by me for a loooong time, but figured it would be handy to others who see also. Also, you should probably have more patreon tiers, in case someone wants to support you more.
6:00 I love that the solution wasn't brought up to simply HIRE a khajiit rat-catcher, rather than a slave or indentured servant. Pay enough money, I'm sure *someone* would take the job.
I'm not sure about NPCs and quest strands, but I'm pretty sure that the architecture in Tel Vos, with those ruins within the tower etc. existed in the vanilla game. What graphical and otherwise mods do you use, btw? I haven't played the game in a while. Thanks.
OAAB Vos and OAAB Grazelands. This mod family includes additional mods and mini-upgrades, but I didn’t install them for the video. EDIT: oh and OAAB Tel Mora.
Another great video! I made a Nord partially inspired by Kvenfmare and I'm having a lot of fun with him! Is it based on anything or just a name you made up?
