Mae Questel, the very same voice of Olive Oyl, Little Audrey, Betty Boop, and a sexy cartoon mouse @ 0:51 , and who was also singing "If a Girl Isn't Pretty" in the first few minutes of the Barbra Streisand movie-musical Funny Girl and Aunt Bethany in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Such a wonderful talented actress, born in 1908 (very same year as Mel Blanc).
Also doing cartoon vo's in this film are:Arnold Stang(The voice of "Herman Mouse"),Jack Mercer..who voiced the other mice and Sid Raymond("The Voice of "Katnip").
Knockoffs typically get vastly overshadowed by the IP they're hellbent on emulating, especially with Herman and Katnip going up against the universally recognized Tom and Jerry. It is quite interesting though to hear Arnold Stang's voice in some Loopy De Loop theatrical shorts a few years after this short, given Famous Studios and Hannah Barbera being on opposite sides of the US.
@@fjccommish 60 to 70 years ago is a long time in history, but this cartoon doesn't look that long ago. Seeing a 50's cartoon like this as a child in the 70's, I definitely saw them as being old. The Warner Bros. and MGM cartoons of the 1930's, 40's and 50's looked old to me being a child of the 1970's even though they were only 20 to 40 years old back then and to me any cartoon, TV show or movie that was produced 20 to 40 years ago doesn't look very old.
Historian Leonard Maltin wrote a book about animated cartoon with the same title as this one. Maltin's book discussed all the amimated cartoon studios including the Famous one.
This was one of two film appearances that the mouse cartoon character of "Louise"did..she also appeared in a "Herman & Katnip"movie cartoon set at the beach.
She is the Mouse Equivalent of Betty Boop. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Too Bad Betty Boop Didn't Make a Comeback until The Romance of Betty Boop 1985 , Who Framed Roger Rabbit ( Betty Boop Cameo ) 1988 , Betty Boop's Hollywood Mystery 1989. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
@bulletin007: Saying "gesundheit" is much more funnier than saying "bless you". In some of the Looney Tunes cartoons the stuttering Porky Pig trying to say that word is proof.
oh yes it is and Louise's voice is done by Mae Qestel the same women who did the voice of both Betty Boop and Olive Oyl. Though she didn't do the voice of Betty and Olive in every cartoon.
