I am about to start this med I just hope that it does not add more problems on top of my breathing problems. On the other hand, extending my life for a few years with quality would be welcome . IPF is horrible and I hope no one else in the world gets it

I could not stay on OFEV because of severe diarhea I lost about 40 lb. I changed to Esbriet and I seem to tolerate this drug

I have ILD and have been taking this drug for a year. And I’m on oxygen 24/7. Started at 150 milligrams twice a day and could not handle it at all. It would wake me up in the middle of the night. I’d barely make it to the bathroom before I was projectile vomiting. My doctor lowered it to 100 mg and it was a bit better. I’d throw up 4-6 times a week. Long story short, a year later now and I’ve lost nearly 40lbs just from vomiting. If I don’t vomit, I have diarrhea. It’s hard to go anywhere. I am not sure if it’s worth taking it? If I have an appointment, I just don’t take it that morning. Probably not good. Sometimes I think my quality of life is not worth “maybe” a few extra years.

Hugs to all dealing with this ugly disease that I can’t seem to find info on outcomes with and without meds. The pattern of it. I feel not many studies of it. My husband has it. I wish No1 ever to get this cause there are no answers. I def will tell My husbands story in time 😢
