You may have seen some of my many Runaway Camper videos - they have over 1.5 million views. One of my last videos before I sold our second Runaway - a 2020 fiberglass RangeRunner - the first one - was about running the AC with an Ecoflow Delta 1300. I was able to run the 5,000 BTU AC for almost 7 hours with the Delta in 80+ degree weather on a hot concrete driveway. Of course, it was then dead, but if someone travelled with a generator - and many do - they could recharge the Delta during generator hours in less than two hours. A great alternative for some people and the average camper does not camp off grid and usually has shore power. We have zero interest in off-grid camping, but with my multiple Ecoflow lithiums, we can go several days before needing to recharge. We now camp with our self-converted 2018 Ford Transit 250 - I have a very extensive van build series on my channel.

👍 nice job, we went a different direction and put all the power stuff in our adventure van and we just plug the runaway into it. We will see if I made the correct decision.

When I think about adding solar to my runaway, one of my primary concerns is how to get the wires from the solar panel into the trailer. Would be interested in seeing how you ran the wire through the roof.

i used what is called an "entry gland" drill a small hole for wires and install wires through gland then hole.

A nice setup for most small teardrops or small box campers. One question, how long will the inverter do the job before the battery is pulled to low?

What happens if you turn the switch to energize the 12 V circuit without having the other switch to pre- power the inverter capacitors?

an in rush of power can occur which can cause the capacitors in the inverter to fail prematurely. will it blow the inverter? not likely but it is just more protection for a unit that will be cycled on and off more frequently due to the random use of the camper.
