10 Points to anyone that has played this game before. www.mediafire.c... I don't own anything. All I did was extend the song, everything belongs to their rightful owners.
I want to dress as the batter for halloween, but I don’t know how well a pale white man talking about purification will come off to people who haven’t played the game...
The first Time I played the game the only thing I picked up from the batter is that he’s quite possibly one of the most manly people ever in games he hasn’t used any vacuums and shit he beats up ghost like a fucking man with a baseball bat
@Bucket with A gun nobody thinks that was the first plague doctor, scp even mentions that he looks "like a plague doctor", and honestly, a straight plague doctor is kinda boring at this point, so they were fishing for something different.
Because the game's goal is largely to initially deceive you into thinking you are doing something right, and make you question it more and more as you progress.
Local news: man found dead after murdering his wife and child. Reports claim that he was killed by a cat judging by the scratch marks all over his body.
@@cheatexp Actually, (spoilers for those who haven't played it yet) the Judge may very well reprimand the viewer of the animation for sitting idly by as they watched Le Batteur destroy the world. After all, people who witness a crime and do nothing (when they have the power to do something) are just as guilty of committing the crime themselves.
@@InactiveProfile I like this kind of ending. Even though they may not be AS guilty, you can still make the viewer feel bad about just sitting there watching, and ask if you enjoyed it, and then immediately tell the viewer not to answer, and that they are an idiot for replying. I like that level of fourth wall breaking
From a guy who hasn’t played the game, someone who hasn’t been “Pavlov’d” into feeling what the game wants you to feel, here’s my impression. This song has an assured, “I mean business, and you’d better hope my business isn’t you” vibe to it. Under that, the old phonograph-sounding music and discordant piano lend the song a spooky undertone.
Kaosu the quality of a game is irrelevant when it is not seeked out by the community as a topic, I am merely reflecting on the transition of the comment section as mentioned by the other comments.
this game is more earthboundier than undertale. because nobody will truly realise it's power until 10 or more years later due to poor circulation around the internet.
Music is the most important element. Without Music, there wouldn't be anything to hear. That's why viewers come to RU-vid to harvest valuable Music so everyone has something to listen to.
Imagine The batter can actually hear the music of each battle, and he just suddenly starts groovin- " *Purification in pro-* OH HOLD ON THIS IS MY JAM"
@@_Tzer are you saying that because you've played undertale and personally didn't like it or because the internet told you to not like it? like stfu and listen to the music groupie bitch lol.
if i walked into a house to burgle it, and alexa monotonously said "Purification in Progress" and then a man started barreling at me with a bat i'd run screaming
No, Homestuck still came before OFF. When Homestuck got on its first big hiatus, it’s fans found this game and that’s why Tumblr started to make it popular. So Homestuck inadvertently helped this game get more attention.
When I was in seventh grade my friend and I accidentally played this out loud to everyone because the earbuds we were sharing weren't plugged in... ah, memories
@@t0lkki to me is a dream that starts really nice and then midway the unsettling parts turns into an extremely sad dream that leaves me waking up to a flood of tears coming down my eyes soaking my entire pillow with tears.
I don't know how I end up here again and again. I'm supposed to get over this and forget it as the rest of old games I loved, but no, this was in my recommendations. As someone else said, OFF really is a ghost fandom.
TIBdOBiNSON MCgLOBiNSON I don’t mean in that aspect, I mean in the fact that it comes back every so often. Every fandom at one point or another ends up corrupt in some shape or form.
imo the endless hallway is pure fear. I feel like this fits the medium between being slightly nervous and about to have a breakdown. The repeating notes that drone on but don't grate on your ears, the unsettling trumpet noise, and the general mood really make it for me in this song.
@@Nyax50Lopez from what i've heard of the game, battles sound more like music intermissions rather than fights for survival, not like that's a bad thing! semicolonsemicolon
***** I spread cancer only when I was in the Fandom of Fnaf ... But I was still stupid and then the Fandom had reached levels of cancer absurd. But after that I realized my mistakes and I stopped being a jerk and I started to avoid behaving in the wrong way in the other fandom.
***** I know. But I wanted something unique. Because i am "The shitty guy of the Internet" but everyone are "Shitty" everyone are "Guys" who go around on the internet. The internet is fucked up, so it must be enjoyed. The internet is a huge toilet and we are the shit in this toilet. Be shit is what binds us together! Because we are all shit! and we must be proud of it! Maybe what I say makes no sense! BUT WHO CARES?! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! 2016! YEAAAHHHH.... Sorry.
TheMrConnection i sort of found out about off through this song through five nights at fuckboys which i might add is a good free weird rpg like off and plays the same it seems like a spiritual successor to off but with a good sense of humor
TheMrConnection But what if I'm a fan of both I mean, I played OFF first, but FNAFB is a really solid RPG, too. And in all honesty, I wouldn't mind a crossover. It could work, with the batter's space bullshit and BB's time fuckery interacting. I want more of both games.
Y'know when it comes to remixes of this song one of the things I've noticed is how a lot of people try to "fix" it, which imo turns me off of a lot of the remixes, part of what makes Pepper steak so good, to me, at least, is how chaotic and broken it sounds
Kyro The King To be fair, you didn't provide any better as to why it should. Why exactly does it need a book when it's already in a game form that's interactive? Although maybe you will get your wish as people are already drawing comics based on the game, some even detailing a comic view of a play through of the game itself. Although I doubt there will be a text only version any time soon, unless you were planning to make it yourself.
***** Maybe you should try talking to Mortis Ghost then. Although I doubt he'd have anything to do with any major OFF production at this point since he decided not to do a sequel to OFF. I don't see the point of a book when the game is highly interactive and carries a lot of exposition and content itself. Perhaps you should try making one yourself if you want it that badly.
To me, this kind of sounds like some kind of chant in the Batter's stadium or possibly Hugo crying... it's just chaotic and jazzy all at the same time. And amazing.
DUDES I CRACKED THE CASE! I came up with a theory why it’s named Pepper Steak. Steak recipes use all 4 elements! When you buy it at a market it is wrapped in plastic To cook it you smoke it on a grill It is literally meat And metal, the minerals and shit. Does this theory make a good? Edit: yeah metal makes more sense to be the grill.
You know, i'm still kind of amazed at just how good OFF's soundtrack is. Like, you'd think after a year of two, the novelty of Pepper Steak would wear off and you wouldn't care anymore. But i've been listening to this song at least once monthly on my playlist since I first heard it 7 years ago. Even a battle them like Last surprise from persona 5 which is really good and refined, didn't keep me interested for 2 years.
this comment section 75% people whining about fnaf comments 15% undertale fans saying dummy reminds me of pepper steak 3% people trying to find the fnaf comments 2% normal comments about off And an extra 65% of people making these stupid percent charts
No... This comment section is _tainted..._ I love FNaF as much as the next obsessed fan, but OFF must be kept sacred. Purification of the comment section in progress...
Freddy: fuck yes lets do this Freddy: wait Freddy: how the fuck am i going to fight a guy armed with a bat using only a microphone Freddy: this is fucking unfair Springtrap: you ridiculous piece of shit Springtrap: i cant believe im saying this Springtrap: but we have to join forces Springtrap: and stop that fucking baseball player and his rings from completely fucking up everything Springtrap & Freddy: engage the batter motherfucker *Battle starts* I seriously wish people would stop fighting over this crap and see the potential of this crossover, OFF already has kind of silly humor when it's not being creepy, a crossover with FNAFB would make almost everyone piss their pants in laughter.
Malamute456 ...Isn't that a...good thing? I mean, if they have become aware of OFF, doesn't that mean some of them might play it, enjoy it, share it with their friends and stuff? What good is a sacred fanbase if almost no one knows it?
I always find myself coming back to this soundtrack because it's just so damn good, it's groovy, it's catchy, it has a little creepy vibe. It's simply perfection
Happy 10th birthday OFF!! I just played it for the first time yesterday so I'm glad I got to be here for the 10th anniversary even though the fandom is already dead
@@SmuggyLeaf comments that get disliked get buried deep, deep into the abyss of the comments section. if you see more complaining about something than you see the thing theyre complaining about, odds are that the thing is already buried under tons of other comments. it happens every time.
One thing I’ve noticed in Pepper Steak is that though it’s more of a bop kind of song, it still has hints and details of horror blended into it. Superb. Edit: you can also hear the sound of what sounds to be wood clacking around to emphasize the harmony (the background?) and could be perhaps representing the batter’s baseball bat.
The battle music was much louder than the ambience, so i jumped in my chair everytime i would encounter a specter lmao. Still fw this music, its such a bop
This song makes me feel like I'm being forced to listen to it over, and over, and over again slowly losing my sanity while I stare at a piece of paper with the drawing of a little boy on a pile of dead bodies smiling with blood running down the smile, everlasting and turning me insane and making me the main antagonist of an RPG horror game...... Oh wait my phone died[Sighs] I'm glad I forgot my charger!
Man, I'm just in love with this soundtrack, it's just something that I've literally never heard in any kind of game before (especially Pepper Steak). I still don't know why I haven't discovered this game way earlier...
I've played OFF so long ago now, it feels like it was just a fever dream I had when I was a kid. I'm not sure how I feel now, 10 years after, validating my memories.
+Ayberk Searrs I don't think there's anything exactly like it. It's like a cross of dark ambient and doomcore (darker version of breakcore). But I know one song that feels p similar, seach "Bong Ra vs Igorr - Pallbearer". And I recommend "Panic and Paranoia" from Amnesia's OST. Tbh Avatar Beat sounds exactly like a mix of those two tracks.
Unrelated to the music, but I had a dream one time about a brief scene where the Batter was hunting down a kid, but it was animated like an old, black-and-white rubber hose cartoon. And not just, like, a cheap one-to-one recreation of a scene from the game; it had its own unique antics that you'd expect from such a stand-alone cartoon, including living cars (somewhere?) And whacky, Loony-Toons physics. It was so unique I felt it was necessary to share.
