The one ring is what you should order and not a winch … Nice to see the story you had shared in snippets on insta now completely. And Belgium Waffle‘s are the best on a trip to get the mood up again - always carry some as SOS snacks.
There is nothing so important than uprising the moral with food in a bad situation lol. I’m getting scared here with all the people saying i should get the ring ;P
@@REDFred as someone who had bought this ring 17 years ago I can tell you. The price is not the important part. It is the intention with it. I got the proposal ring for like 120€ and got one that I notice she liked. The final Rings are each 60€ surgeon steel and she got one bling. The real reason for this, we can wear them all the time, not magnetic and to others there is no real value in the material. Plus it super robust - no need to fear that it will break on your motorcycle trips …
I wanted to undertake the Balkan TET alone last year. I see a lot of videos around on RU-vid. But I found myself in a situation very similar to yours, I was immersed in the mud and I couldn't get the bike out on my own. Luckily it was during an organized event and after 1h30 some participants arrived and helped me get my motorcycle out. I made them aware that I will never want to do the TET or in any case travel off-road alone, you never know what can happen and if you have the possibility to ask for help. Today I'm at home with a few fractured bones from an off-road fall, there too, luckily my friends were there who lifted my bike since I was stuck underneath. In any case, I want to give you my most sincere compliments for your video style, for the way you tell stories and for your filming, I really like it!!! Excellent!!! Ps, you had the 35l Mosko Moto bags on the sides right?
thanks for sharing your story and your compliment, thats verry appreciated. Actually no, that where enduristan Bags, but i have some EMD at the moment to test
@@REDFred She does! Glad you got some help, I got stuck in mud on my loaded T7 and ended up having to drag the bike for 40 minutes just to turn around on a trail, so I know how painful it is! Feasible, though, and definitely the way to go when you're in a bind.
@@ApocalypseNouille I was so stuck that it took hours to move from point to point. But I have upgraded my emergency and tool kit and will hopefully be able to get myself out next time 😀
Hahaha that sound when it tips over... you are in a week of trouble mate 🤣 Haha, if I was riding the tractor I would have dipped here a little in that water 🤣 Great video my friend. Really enjoyed to see you struggle. When you fail, you learn...
I knew you’d love to see me suffer 😂 yeah it took ages to get it clean again 🧽 but it was definitely an experience that taught me some things and I have upgraded my every day Off-road carry set 😂
First of all I want to say that I'm glad you're doing well! Lately I've been seeing a lot of TET photos of people who need help. Luckily, they were all just like you because they were stuck in the mud, or had no strength to pick up, or had a flat tire that they couldn't fix. Maybe we're all a bit overconfident from all the inspiring videos and become too careless. Driving alone, without sufficient equipment or skills to help ourselves. Sometimes I also ask myself why do people put themselves in such uncomfortable situations instead of making it a little easier for themselves, leaving some things out and just having a good time. Well, as long as it only takes sweat and tears, everything is fine - we can grow from it. But let's not take it too far that something really bad happens that we will regret for a long time or make other people cry. And yes, she deserves a ring! :-)
Yes that is true. You do actually see a lot of posts recently about people who got stuck or have mechanical issues and can’t get out of that situation by their own anymore. Maybe we all just got a little bit dull by seeing the extreme manoeuvres and capabilities of professional rally riders but I must also admit that I love the challenge and that also means it can get a little bit tricky sometimes
Yeah, seeing Pol Tarres or Kevin Gallas just playing around with heavy bikes like the T700 or Norden 901 made me really confident in the capabilities of my own Norden 901. But these are professionals, doing trials and hard enduro for well over 15 years and with upgraded suspension and so on.
What an adventure! We want to see 3 things now if you want to keep our subscription: 1: Teach us how to get out of this by driving into it a second time. 2. Show us which winch and how to mount/use it on a bike and 3. Make her an ex-girlfriend by making her your wife. 😅
Well, I’m not gonna drive in there right now because I wanted to start my tour into the Alps on Monday, but I will definitely show the set I have built to get out of such situations. and with the third thing …. time will tell 😂
There is a nice video from fortnine, where he used his own motorcycle as a winch. With two deflection rollers (umlenkrollen?) I can see it even being possible with brute force. But that's why I don't ride alone.
Yes a pulley system, that’s actually something I already ordered and received. I think you are right riding in a group is always better when you have the option.
@@REDFred haha nice video :) experienced something similar on the actual NL TET but we managed to get out with the help of 2 other guys. Started researching for a "floating" pully system afterwards, but only found a US one which isn't manufactured anymore. Do you mind sharing what you found out?
