I have just bought a euro 5 and will collect it 2 weeks. I haven't ridden since 2004 after I left the Flying Gunners Motorcycle display team. I have been looking into the Himalayan for the past 3-4 years and have now bitten the bullet. I will be using it to go up the road to see my family near Inverness and as I live near Stonehenge, it needed to be comfortable, good on fuel and bullet proof so the Himalayan ticks all the boxes.
Thanks for watching mate. Wow flying Gunner I can't compete with that lol. It's a good we bike bike won't break any land speed records but it's a bike riders bike in my opinion.. Does what you need and easy to look after 👍
Just going through some of the vids I missed. Love the Ayrshire stuff. Reminds me of when I was growing up in Prestwick. Wanlockhead has changed quite a bit. I remember going through there on the West Lowland hike with the BBs in 83.
Brilliant vlog and drone footage . Last time a drove through . A thought okay . Slow for sheep . Then one jumped 10 feet in the air . A thought mountain goat / sheep lol . It hung onto a sheer cliff , gradient wise lol. Not joking with the 10 feet lol
Martin if youre in the wanlock inn . James or his son will show you theyre collection of motorbikes . Well locked up . A love it there . Very intersting village
A love the menock pass . Can i ask youre opinion . Im just back from cuper in fife . Bought a 2019 himalyan from cuper motorcycles . Two panniers and oxford heated grips . 3400 miles . Its priced at £3500 . Ive left £150 deposit as dvla couldnt give me a theory test till end of january . A know ive jumped in lol no licence yet . Theyre gonnae store it and then deliver it for free . Ive got it all on a contract / sales invoice . It was on gumtree a saw it . Do you think thats a fair price
Great Robert. Aye that sounds about right to be fair the Himalayan is not expensive out of the box but it also holds its value really well. The pannier frames and panniers will set you back 500+ and the grips are the best part of 100. So a himi with only 3400 miles on is barely broken in. That's a good price I recon.
@@WeeJaunt thanks for replying martin . Ill book my cbt and start my lessons . Bloody dvla going on strike mucked my plans . Trying to get a date sooner than the only one available which was end of january 🙄 ill be saying that needs a MOD soon and using all youre tips and hints . Thanks
Haha.. Aye there's been a huge impact on tests of all descriptions over the last year and a half. Maybe it's for the best. Start hitting the road on your new bike beginning of February hopefully with improving weather 👍
