Taking my (relatively) stock 2022 Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 TRD Sport off-roading in the Otay mountains in San Diego, CA with a few buddies of mine. Relatively stock as it is not lifted and the wheel/tire setup is the same height as the stock wheels, just wider.
We aired down to about 20 PSI and was able to do most of the trail in 2WD but put it in 4HI to get the gear and differentials used this month. You generally want to activate 4WD every month in order to avoid seizing the actuator and having to get it replaced.
The truck did fairly well, but definitely was lacking in the clearance department which I knew going into this. Trusted my instinct and did not attempt any obstacle which would have caused body damage. Stay tuned for the mods we put on it here soon!
