My ears were burning! 😂 Thank you for the mention Richard. I will be doing a ride out at some point this summer for bowel cancer awareness and the importance of the screening program ❤️👍
Hope you're on the mend and the recovery going well. 🙏 Your video certainly highlights the importance of screening and I hope you're back out on two wheels soon. Check out this man's channel above ☝️
First off Rich, well done for mentioning the testing kit for Bowel Cancer screening. I had the letter last week to say my kit will be along in the next week or two. I'n 12 years in front of you and have done the test four or five times. So so important chaps. As Richard says, do ignor it. Next, I don't envy you and the cleaning you'll have to do on your MT10, after that lane Rich(my MT10 is still tucked up after good clean). First ride out yesterday on anything other than my CRF250, so I took my BSA A50, which is mint and 6 miles out, bloody rear wheel puncture.. Still, the upside was my next door neighbour just happened to be passing. Trailered home and all good. Great video as always and I thought the sound quality was very good. See you at Stafford if you're going.
We're at Stafford on the Saturday. Will keep a look out for you. I'm ashamed how dirty my MT10 is. Trouble is, if you clean it perfectly, you're less inclined to ride because it keeps raining 🌧 Yep you're right. Keep doing the tests offered. The only way to keep getting older is to keep healthy (says the overweight man 🫣)
Well you have obviously discovered the sound was excellent. Another entertaining video and an excellent job of reminding us older folk to get tested for everything when it is offered. You obviously get poor weather in your neck of the woods. It's been warm and sunny here in Bristol for weeks😝😝😝😝🤔
I used to go fishing on that canal many years ago. Glad you sold the bike. Good video and great audio, I used to use those cheap mics and they were great as not to sensitive. Changed to Movo now as the boom on those cheaper mics just a little to short for how camera fitted to helmet.
Hard to believe that we had never been to that Station in all the years we've lived around here. As we plug our microphones into the Rode Wireless senders, the length doesn't matter for us. We then get both our audio feeds onto the one camera (the insta 360 on the bars) and Carol doesn't need to have a camera on her helmet
Great ride but had my OCD on full tilt riding on the mud 😂 I love seeing old steam trains in action and wonder if in years to come diesels will holed the same level of nostalgia when everything is electric and silent? 👍👍
Yes, my nerves were twitching on the mud. There is nothing like 150bhp and road tyres 🤣 The station memorabilia was brilliant. I'm not sure if these old 60s diesel electric trains will hold a place in our hearts like steam?? This one was powered by four Leyland bus engines, and there was an almost overpowering diesel exhaust smell on the platform. Apparently, they do steam days, so we will probably head back then.
@Banditmanuk we are luck down here because we have the west Somerset steam network that runs every weekend accros from near Taunton to Minehead, I quite often head down for a ride. I think as we get older we love the romantic side of trains 👍
An interesting exhibition. Really something to see there. I am glad that you sold the XSR. I know that the new owner will love it. The MIC sound is just like it was before you had some problems with it. I mean it sounds great. Do you plan to do some review of this new setup? I wonder how you installed everything. Cheers.
Our system is. Cheap Amazon Hamo laptop microphones in our helmet chin. These connect with two Rode wireless senders. We have the Rode wireless base station connected to our Insta 360onex2 which is on the handlebars. This camera then captures the view back to me and both of our audio tracks. This is the track I keep at the base of my editing software and then overlay all the other camera angles once synced up.
Glad to hear your audio is back to near perfect. Always admired how good it was in the past. I watched MM's video also. Good to see him promoting those tests, and it just goes to show even when you feel well , there could be things in the background developing. I was lucky, mine was negative. Train station was lovely to see, love stuff like that. Stay well guys 👍
We are relieved the audio was better. Carol again is the sensible one and she's the one who persuaded me to do the test that MM did. We loved the interior of the station. The volunteers there were brilliant Appreciate hearing your views. Cheers
Your audio seems to be great to me. I would be happy if I could 50% of your audio quality.I just got another glass of wine with the cake comment..thanks.
Hi, I think so far this year every time I've been out what ever route I pick it's felt like going down that track to the station with the mud and debris on the roads, last week took in Wetton mill, monyash, castleton bike looked like I had been off road. Yesterday went to iron bridge, lake vyrnwy, Bala same again. I think at the moment if we do to much weather watching we would never go anywhere. May play safe next week and try the hinckley cafe, might even have a cleanish bike at the end. Good for the low speed bike control practice dodging potholes and piles of mud though.
No doubt there will be even more debris on the roads after these high winds. Wetton Mill is probably our next favourite stop after the Triumph Café. We also love the roads around Ironbridge, shame there's so many pot holes around. We've stopped doing an immaculate clean on the bikes after every ride. The weather is just too unpredictable. Riding is definitely more fun than cleaning
I could hear a very loud sigh of relief and un-puckering when you got to the tarmac 😂 There's absolutely no way I can vlog at all at 60 mph, it would be pure wind noise. Wishing Jack Porter of Moto Mogul a full recovery his sticker and yours are on my new board
Yep, my days of riding on anything but tarmac are behind me. We both use Shoei GT Air helmets with the chin wind guard fitted. Very quiet helmets and I think it's more down to them. Also with no screens, we don't get noisy, disruptive airflow off the top of the screens. Yep, wishing Jack a full recovery 🙏
@@NooBiker well I guess you could do a test with the screen removed? Or perhaps try something like a Givi Airflow screen that funnels the air much higher over your head. Of course I could be completely wrong!
The old station looked like an intriguing place to visit, it's great that volunteers keep these places open. I met Moto Mogul a few years back when we both rode Triumph Tiger 1050 Sports. He was touring Scotland so we met for a chin wag, lovely chap I hope he recovers well. I'll post a short video of one of my favourite cafes. It's compact and bijou and a good starting point for some lovely roads.
I have a "train" style vid coming up t oday aswell. I do like the nostalgia of old stations. I'm not sure whats involved with screening, but your right its really important. Nice ride that 🎉
Thanks. We loved the old world station interior. Filmed loads there, but I wasn't sure how it would go down with the motorcycle audience, so cut most of it. Yep, the screening isn't exactly pleasant, but I would say crucial if you're to avoid something deadly. Appreciate you watching
we all have messed around with mics, just got a purple panda mic. well pleased with it, when off road you have the visor up all the time and not getting wind noise. mt10 still going are you replacing xsr.
Lots of folks like the purple panda microphone. Lots depends on what camera you're recording to. Just keeping the MT10 for now and saving money for some big motorcycle trips. Hope you're keeping well and still enjoying the off road stuff?
@@Banditmanuk off road is good and on road if the weather picks up will do a bit more road riding on the raid this year. cancer sucks julie going through it. hope we all get some good weather last 6 months have been bad.
What a cool little museum... I do love the old Victorian buildings, is kind of cool that many train stations still in use are utilising the same buildings. As we get older, we def need to be more aware of our health and issues that can mess up our lives if not gotten in check. We all love a cake pic... I keep getting told off for not showing the food at the various cafes I stop at! 😀 Your audio is great, much better than the last couple of vids 🙂 Someone recently reached out to my GSX-8S Facebook group asking if we'd be interested in coming up to very near the factory to do a survey on an undisclosed motorcycle manufacturer about a possible future bike similar to the 8S... even offered some good money to do it, but I wasn't able to go up to it... be interesting to see what the bike was all about... I wonder if there is a 660 Street Triple in the works???
We loved the station and intend to return on a steam day. Our Hama microphones that you originally recommended are back in. They cause a tiny bit of interference when plugged into the Rode senders but still sound way better than the expensive Rode Lavalier that we tried. We're getting braver at filming in cafes but only really when it's just Carol & myself and not meeting friends. Triumph have in the past made a 660 Street Triple, it was around when Carol bought her 675. Could be a new one with the specs tweaked to just beat the 8s which is selling very well??
@@Banditmanuk yeah I remember the original Street Triples, certainly be interesting to see what they are up to, especially with the recent leaked spyshots
Apologies I’m a tad late to watching 😬 That place looked so well dated and cute at the beginning, what a beautifully kept location, I bet that sees a lot of tourists in the summer ☺️ Amateur mistake there mate either way the stand 😂 Look at you two doing a bit of off-roading 🤘😎 I think the audio is spot on, super clear, not a lot of wind noise. Congrats on the sale mate, bet you were sad to see it go. Great shoutout to MotoMogul, super brave guy and that video was very well put together 🖤 Great video, hope you’re both well 🤜🤛
Well, I'm not surprised you're late. Looking at your social media posts, I'm surprised you have time to watch much RU-vid. 😉 Thanks again for the kind words on the vid.
nice local video . havent been to Shackerstone for a few years . keep meaning to go on a steam train there. to me the sound was great . watched motomogul and subscribed , he is a nice man and very honest with what he went through . Lisas sausage rolls looked very tasty .
Thanks. The guy was sound. Called by when he said he would. Gave me asking price and transferred the money there and then. I delivered it to him for free as he was such a nice guy
