I’ve been surfing and camping there for over 30 years and in the last 15 years or so it’s become ridiculously crowded to the point where it’s not worth it anymore. I blame the crowds on social media. Just keep it to yourself for god sakes
@@bfranco1519 as they say “only a surfer knows the feeling”. The nice thing about snowboarding is that you always get your waves because you pay the fee for the lift.
Me too it’s the way of the world. U can get angry and bitter or smile and know how lucky u are to be able to get there and enjoy the ocean. It could be a lot worse
@@timrodiek9461 my college professor was telling me about how it was there in the 70s. You could pull up and camp on the beach. Nobody around. Although the wetsuit technology wasn’t very good so the extra cold water would limit your sessions a bit
Yeah surfing and camping in BigSur is very cool. If you don't want crowds try Garrapota north Big Sur. You can feelings the land lord there .killer little beach brake
Oh you're talking about lighthouse! Literally one of the heaviest Beach break/ reefbreak combos in CA. There have been a couple of Surfing Magazine cover shots shot here, so it is indeed VERY surfable
