once again i find myself back here, from listening while playing destiny 8 years ago on a winter afternoon, to listening at my fucking job at an engineering company, time is a crazy thing, I wonder when ill be back. sad to see this shit end for real kind of hard to accept.
+awesomeness0005 well before they had a bunch of podcasts the fans didn't like...(the ones with Brandon in them) and now they have ones people want (the ones with AH members in them)
@@mklepserrunescape6367 unrelated, but there's something about the fact that you have runescape in your name with no videos is really funny to me and I have no idea why
I related so much to Jeremy with that. As much as I would love to watch more movies, it's always hard to get myself to start one. I get so distracted by video games or just stuff on the internet.
I like the standards of this podcast, please don't change it seems so chilled, people coming off and on... going for a pee... pouring drinks for themselves and even meg walking in front of the camera. Its Great stay the same
+Meta - Thw I doubt it will change. Michael is nothing like Gus not to say the RT podcast is in any way bad but Michael isnt gonna yell for people walking around and shit. I could see him giving them shit but definetly not giving a fuck about it hurting the quality of the podcast haha
I agree, the RT podcast and the Off Topic podcast are two different beasts the same way that The Patch has it's own feel and vibe. Michael is the head of the Off-Topic podcast and he the kind of person who gives a flying fuck about any of the shit that gets on Gus and Burnie's nerves. Also, the day that AH is straight-laced and everything goes according to plan is the day it starts snowing in hell!
ThjyuGaming Yeah I heard that rumor, but I hear more people saying it's not true. Especially since Gavin was recently promoted at RT I'm fairly certain he's not going anywhere.
+BringerOfD All the sponsored episode were an hour and a half or more. So the odds are pretty good. But they did joke that one day they're gonna put out a 20 minute podcast.
On Twitter Michael said there no plan for length, they'll stop when they get bored/tired/have nothing left to talk about/ or just need to do more then one thing a day at work lol.
I feel like if I were ever on off-topic, I would be like Jeremy. I never get anyone's movie references, I'm terrible with actors names, I'm awful with referencing movies. I'd just sit there to the side like he did
I was waiting to see how long it took for them to notice the FH logo and Swastika behind them. Though, it's an odd choice for them to put the Swastika behind Geoff and the FH logo behind Jack.
Me: I don't get it, what's the difference between an AH podcast and the regular one? **First minute of literally everyone solidly talking at the same time** Me: Ahhhh....
I don't get how people are able to remember all of these famous people. I only know like 10 actors maybe, but most people can just name the entire cast to TV shows, and movies. They could even name the camera guy, caterers, and the directors cousin. Is there just something wrong with me?
+GlobalVV i know exactly what you're talking about i can't name anyone at all and yet everyone around me has like photographic memory for actors and directors
I am the same I don't know any actors really. I just recognise their faces and know they were in these movies. Same with music, I know the lyrics of songs but most the time don't know what the song is called or the artist unless it's really obvious (aka Taylor swift, one direction etc.)
I don't know if it's the same for everyone else, but for me, the show's where I know all the actors and directors like that, I've watched all the commentaries and behind the scenes stuff on them. And then interviews, as well. I was that way with Parks and Rec, The Office and Community
Rewatching all of Off Topic since it’s ending soon 😢 I can’t believe they kept the same exact intro and set this whole time! Off Topic is what introduced me to RT as a whole. I was painting the interior of my house in 2020 and running through all of my other podcasts quickly. Spotify recommended Off Topic and I didn’t know who anyone on the show was but I fell in love anyway. It led me to be a huge fan of Let’s Plays, STF, FunHaus, RTP…. Off Topic will always hold a special place in my heart, it’s like my own little “first born” out of all the RT content ❤
I must admit that I'm with Jeremy on the movie thing. I find it very difficult to sit down and veg out in front of the TV or a movie; I can read for hours because it requires some active attention. There are tons of TV series that I'd really like to watch as well but I find myself getting fidgety and losing focus after about 15 minutes. I can only really sit through a movie if I'm with people.
***** I was trying to be civil about it, but it's fairly apparent they don't want to include Ray in a lot (if any) of AH stuff. He made what, one appearance since he departed, and it was like 3 seconds on a GO! video. They have Funhaus and plenty of AH'ers. They don't need to bring him in.
As soon as burns left that was my red flag. Although I love everybody up to Alfredo and Trevor and after the stuff with Ryan I truely just disconnected
You guys should seriously watch the four test episodes, I mean for christ's sake, you get a 30 day FREE trial, a whole month to watch four extra episodes of this podcast, you don't have to pay any money for a FREE trial, that's what the word FREE means, seriously just do it, there's so much good content you haven't seen, FUCKING DO IT
They should TOTALLY have a segment where they give Jeremy a movie to watch for each week, and for like 10 minutes or so they can make Jeremy give his thoughts on the movie.
I have a friend like Jeremy, who doesn't like to sit down and watch movies - name a film and I guarantee that he won't have seen it. He'll happily sit down and watch 8 seasons of a TV show back to back on Netflix however. I just don't get it. Having said that, I've no shame in admitting that I've never seen any of the Back to the Future films and perhaps one Harry Potter film (the first I think), they just don't appeal to me.
I'm like that as well, I love films but I've never seen the popular ones and all my mates make fun of me for it. I also can sit down all day and watch TV like its no problem.
+TheDiehardSatsuma Yeah I have never seen Lord of the Rings, Star Wars except the one with Darth Maul, The Godfather, Titanic, E.T, Citizen Kane, the full Pulp Fiction, any of the Indiana Jones films or any of the Back to the Future films.
+TheDiehardSatsuma My brother is like that, then I turned like that. Still I will watch a cult following or super important blockbuster once in a while.
0:43 dang, was really late, but the curse of a celebrity dying after being mentioned by rt people....... also i was watching the last off topic (#404) whiel eating something crunchy, and my earphones registered that as adouble tap, sending me here wow what a throowwwback thanks, jank earphones that switch videos whenever i eat something crunchy
I'm 100% with Jeremy on the movies thing. I really have to be in the right mood to watch a movie, and I'm just not interested in watching older movies, no matter how good they are
20:00 "It's not like church, you just can't stop." I identify with this very much so. Churches are nice places and all, but having to make weekly appointments vs choosing when to go is pretty different. Church also doesn't have snacks really.
When me and my mom were coming home from Hawaii someone on the plane had I believe a mild heart attack and everyone was like we do not want to land before we get home because we still had like 1000km to go and we were over the ocean thank the lord the person was ok and we didn't have to stop anywhere
Poor Jeremy. I can't stand just watching movies for the sake of doing it. I'd watch it if it caught my attention, but otherwise I just don't give a shit and I'd rather do something else.
I dont know how old i was, but when my mom was alive(she died when i was 14), we’d have all my nieces and nephews over for Christmas. One year, i was playing, but could hear the conversation she was having with my brother’s wife at the time. She said she was telling my dad to hurrry up and finish setting up my gifts under the tree before i woke up. She didnt realize i heard it. I played it off like i didnt. And i dont remember if i ever told her that I heard her say it.
I totally see Jeremy's stance on movies, especially with my ADHD. (But I still fucking love Star Wars and Jeremy should def still see them for the experience)
I've made sure my daughter saw all the movies I loved growing up. It's payback for all the crap Bob built and Dora explored. She saw Ghostbusters and Jurassic Park at three years old.
