Off-White X Air Jordan 2 Low 

Heritage, history, and nostalgia define what Jordan brand means to so many of us and this sneaker captures that perfectly. The aged, crumbling sole, the dream of getting MJ's signature on the side, the classic packaging with its own Off-White spin...that's design work right there. And maybe the most amazing thing about it is the way that it brought interest back to the always under appreciated Jordan 2. Virgil's last gift to us was reviving one of the classics. He will truly be missed.

My friend got these hightops back in 87, balled all year in them, then in 88 he was mowing the lawn in them. In the end these look like those lol.

I hit on these for my 1st ever Off White W on SNKRS and the fact that this is the last shoe Virgil will ever do, I will never ever get rid of them. I love them. I'm wearing them for my wedding this Sunday!

I really wanted that red and white pair, and I love the ‘crumbled’ midsole. This is the only Off White I ever liked, but sadly struck out on SNKRS and so that’s that, because the aftermarket prices are insane. A lovely job. Rest in Peace VA

Honestly the only Off-Whites that I ever was like, "I need those!". Definitely might get em at some point. R.I.P. VA!

The original 2's did have a full length air unit, I'm an old head that played in them back in the day. I actually cut mine in half after I wore them out.

great review! love these, really wish i could’ve gotten them. as for the off white zip tie, it started on the clothes, meant to mimic a store security tag and you were supposed to cut it off. so i’m guessing he just carried it over to the sneakers cause it became a signature of the brand

Was able to hit on the black pair. Leather is amazing. Love all the touches and packaging. I wonder if they come in individual zip lock bags because collectors like to preserve them from crumbling over time? Wish I had the white pair. Virgil was big on museums and art objects as artifacts, so the aesthetic makes sense. What a great last gift to the world. "Virgil was here." 🙏🏾

Twos are underrated obviously, and these are no exception. Seeing that toy story claw machine scene reminded me of the new buzz light year movie that is coming out, I randomly seen a commercial for it recently

i got 2 pairs of og 2s and that crumbling started literally after the first month i rocked em....i agree w you kris the look of the crumbling midsole straight makes me shiver

Man 2s hold a special place in my heart 1 because when I was very young before getting into shoes and ball I saw my cousins uncle once and he was wearing the original white and red with black 2s and I just loved them and also because around early 2000 when the low top came out in the white and blue color way I saw my brother in law with them and at this point I was already in middle school and knew a little bit about shoes but also knew what Jordan was because that was the shoe to have anything Jordan lol and I asked my mom to take me to the mall and even thoo she said ok but we not buying anything and I agreed y’all know that shit was a lie and in my head I was getting them no matter what and of course at first she said no until I started crying and turned into a sad brat because I knew she would give in and she ended up getting them for me but man I just loved them so much. Before y’all kill me I am glad to say I am. O,longer a brat or ask my mom for things. Lol. I am 29 about to turn 30. Lol ✌️. Happy to hear this will be year of 2s and looking forward to it.

How Virgil went about this release is absolutely incredible and kudos to him in every way.I am a staunch supporter of wanting things to be as close to OG as humanly possible but his take on this model was amazing. That A-hole Caesar was such an idiot in the way he went about things and then to try to backtrack after Virgil's passing further shows what a clown he is. RIP Virgil

Probably an unpopular opinion but I think they boo boo. Happy for you if you like them tho, even happier if you got a pair! Each to their own.

What a great video, finally seeing someone genuinely excited for 2's for all the right reasons. I do wonder though, since the molds to the original 1986 AJ2 were lost/destroyed, and they had to rebuild them from scratch, is there a chance that they just based them off of an existing pair of AJ3s? I feel as if the "silhouette" for retro 2's and retro 3's are exactly the same, and that's how we ended up with a boxy toebox for the 2 as well as the missing eyelets before they started getting them right. Of course, this was prior to 3D printing and computer scanning, so that's my theory on how the retro 2 ended up looking so different than the original pair over time.

I want an OG 2 so bad. And when I say og, I mean materials. IYKYK.

The black pair’s signature is to signify change and that if MJ was to sign another pair it wouldn’t be on the same spot as the Chicago colorway

Man, I hella wanted a pair. I tried for both cws. Caught an L on both cws. 🙍🏻‍♂️ Man, I’m hella 😊😁 for 2’s to re-release in remastered form. I’m hella ready for a remastered pair of Chicago 2’s! YEE! 😊😁

The point behind the zip ties and also off-white as a brand is to use simple, well known things as branding. The diagonal lines are even more recognizable than a monogram, but no one ever used it before. Virgil used the zip-tie the same way because he wanted a basic item that anyone can use to easily distinguish his brand.

I like the concept of these but I don't like lows. The midsole is the most interesting part and I would have loved to see a pair of 7s with similar treatment, semi transparent ripstop materials like the 5s on the side panels, and the extra lacing system from the dunks- all tied up in an aged Cardinal colorway. Hope people who got these enjoy them. They're interesting, even if they're not fully my cup of tea.

Heads up, These have the same tech-specs as the Retro AJII (Full-length Air Sole Unit).

I wish they would’ve done the Melo PE instead of the Black/Blue color way, but still a nice shoe RIP VA I wish more 2s got re-released, they get slept on hard, but hopefully these and the Union 2s will help with that

I’m not really a fan of the 2, I do think the white is quite cool. But, the photos of what Union have done with the 2!? (the “fog grey”, apparently/hopefully coming next year) is unbelievable, like, wow.

Really lucky I got a W on the black cw at the Dutch Oqium store. Can't believe my luck! I'm not a big fan of all black sneakers but from the two cw's I like the black one the best. Normally tend to like og colorways better but as the black pair might have been what Virgil liked best colorwise(as he was probably free to put any color on these as he pleased) makes them extra special in my opinion.

I love 2's, but I'm not feeling these. I love Virgil's concept, but I don't think that I would get a pair. Probably because of the midsole, I just don't like it that it looks like the shoe is falling apart. Anyway, great video, as always!

I've been trying to cop a pair of the 2's for a while and this one is my hope, then with all the hypes going with the white/red colorway which I can't afford, I still tryna saving up for the black/blue one cus damn I want a pair of 2's so bad and all the other retros are hard to find in my town. Then y'all know the story, Virgil is gone and they all going up to a prize that will be never affortable for me.

Got these in a 12.5 when I’m usually a 12 and the fit uncomfortable definitely wasn’t trying to get a 13 🤦🏽‍♂️

I was hoping to hear more thoughts on the midsole because they used a TPU carrier that is hard as shit and how that felt on feet for you. It reminds me of the AJ 23. This one they seem to have injected foam which fills in the cracked look. I dig that. I wonder if over time when the foam cracks, it'll crack at those stress points haha.

First of all, knowing that they are going to release the Jordan 2 next year is great. Just with that, they are going to be top of the list to get and only will be topped by the columbia 11s If JB decides to release them next year (lets hope...). On to the off white ones, I don't like the black and royal but I like the white and red. I really like the concept and the only think that I dislike is all the off white branding text.

I used to “forge” MJ’s signature all over the place when I was a kid…on my textbooks, bags, even the 23 socks back in the day because I didn’t want the signature to fade/ peel off from washing. LOL!!!!!!!
