@@storieswithstyle For Liberio, yes. But he said stop to Zeke, and said hurtful things to his friends for a reason. He wanted to push them away, to made them hate him, and he was never part of the plan with the spinal fluid. He was just going along with it because he needed royal blood, and didn't want to sacrifice Historia. Basically, it's because he didn't want to sacrifice Historia, and because Zeke was the only one with royal blood and a titan, that Marley's attack made this happen. Eren made no plan for this. And him saying stop to Zeke show that he didn't want that. It's because Marley attacked without any negociation, with the will to obtain and steal the Founder from Paradis, that Zeke scream; of course Armin and everyone will not let Marley obtain the Founder, it will signify their death. Even if Eren's plan is wrong, Armin and everyone were not wrong about defending him from Marley. Marley is here to destroy them. They are an ennemy no matter what. And their attack is very stupid. They think everyone on the Island are devils and they don't make any differences between the people and Eren who attacked them. They should have negociate, before attacking, to only have revench on Eren. But they just made Eren's plan happen, by being an open ennemy to the whole Island. This attack just pushed Zeke to use any means possible. It was a very dump move from Marley, just because they categorize everyone on the Island as devils. They were blinded by their ignorance and their racism. I was not on Eren and Zeke's side, but surely not on Marley.

If you go back and really analyze how Porco behaves in combat, you'll see that he definitely was supposed to be the armored titan instead of Reiner. The Jaw is a glass cannon, but Porco always fights right in the middle of everything despite that and takes risks his titan shouldnt take, and eventually, his agility isn't enough to keep him safe and he gets his shit rocked. He'd be much better off being a shield instead of a sword. He knows this too. It's why he treats Riener the way he does (on top of the fact that he got his brother killed).

Zeke never had the vow renouncing war. Only the wielders of the founding titan that have royal blood inherit the vow renouncing war preventing them from using the full power of the founding titan power. Since Eren had the founding titan, by touching, Zeke managed to enter the Paths without having the vow and command Ymir because she only obeys royal bloods
@Hezeri
@Hezeri Месяц назад
And that would also imply that it wasn't Eren controlling the titans in season 2, it was Dina. Unless controlling titans is not a royal blood thing.
@thisIsLoxi
@thisIsLoxi Месяц назад
@@Hezeri Well the difference is that Dina was a dumb titan, not a titan shifter. Dumb titans dont have wills or memories. That's probably why zeke can control dumb titans without the founding, but eren needs to be in contact with a royal blood titan to command them
@Jonas-ob2sh
@Jonas-ob2sh Месяц назад
@@Hezeri Dina was a pure titan and she was mindless at that time hence why Eren was able to bypass the whole "Ymir only obeys royal blood shifters". The unfortunate thing about having pinnacle reaction episodes like this is that new viewers who have never seen any other of your videos tune in for this and then complain because its not the type of reaction theyre used to. its been this the way the entire time i personally enjoy the difference in reactional style as oppose to just watching the episode go along and saying "oh wow" "woah" "thats epic", shallow comments like that, rather than delve deeper into the specific meanings and symbolisms as well as theories like he does. EuroBrady also did great reactions delving into the psychology of the characters and situations throught the shows he watched. its just a different style. no reason for people who havent even watched other videos of yours to feel the need to tell you the "right" way to watch/react to the show just because they want it to be familiar to them.

Zeke has the power because he has royal blood and DIDN'T eat the founding titan. So he was never influenced by the past founder, and the vow doesn't apply to him.
@Daccura
@Daccura Месяц назад
To get some thoughts straight based on all the stuff we know so far: You need the foudning titan to even be able to get to the paths. The paths is where Eren and Zeke are right now, it's like that entire area or how you want to call it. The coordinate is where "all paths come together to one" - the founding titan, that's basically Ymir (hint also to that giant tree like thing). Eren wants Ymir's power since Ymir is the founder itself, Ymir obeys the royal blood and Zeke is of royal blood hence why Ymir obeys Zeke and Zeke can use the founders power. Without the founding titan itself ppl can't access the paths to use the founders power. Zeke said: this is where ppl come if they want to use the founder (if they have the founder obviously). Meaning ppl like Uri etc. came here if they wanted to use the founder although they were restricted (important word is restricted) to use the founder since the vow of the King is still active - until Zeke managed to nullify the Vow. Also something very important which idk you got - time is instant here. Those implications are quite massive. Look at how Zeke looked before they made contact and look how he looks just seconds after. He is there for years and years (assuming by how he looks now) since time is instant in the paths. 1 second can feel like 1 year and so on.

vow renouncing war was made through the Founding Titan. Zeke doesn't posses the founding titan... so that's why he's not bound by it. He reached the paths in a roundabout way & being royal he was able to command Ymir... If Zeke had the founding titan in him, he wouldn't be able to freely act in the Paths. This is the correct reasoning...

I think If someone gets injured Ymir repair their body by putting sand in it. When Shifters are Injured Ymir will repair their body on the paths so Technically when they are injured they are connected in the paths in some way in that moment that's why they can transform into titan when Injured. Also this might explain why hange told when she cut off titan and it detached to the body the flesh feels light. Maybe because that part is no longer connected to the paths and hence it evaporates.

It's not mentioned in the show, and might not even be canon at all, but having read a lot of classic sci-fi (Michael Crichton's Congo is pretty relevant here)...I got a head canon about the "paths realm" that isn't really contradicted by the story: The "paths realm" is just like an imagery that's in their head and doesn't really "exist" (heavy emphasis on quotation marks). It's like a personification/metaphor/etc. of the "biological" aspect of the titan powers. As mentioned in an earlier episode, an Eldian king was able to modify the bodies of Eldians to make them immune from a disease. That's a pretty good supporting info for my hypothesis. So Ymir agreeing with any of them is just an "animation" of the victory of whoever succeeded in modifying/commanding the biologies of the Eldians/titans. If Zeke's will is stronger, it would be shown like Ymir agreed with him, and same with Eren. Pretty sure Isayama has been influenced by a lot of classical sci fi stories, and the interplay of biological-mythological aspect has been in a lot of those. You've mentioned Dune before for example... In this episode alone: A realm of collective consciousness being set in a desert hmmm?

Don't feel bad about being happy that Porco died. I didn't morn his death either. He was an arrogant asshole who never improved, he got completely destroyed by Eren every time he fought him and still tried to claim he was better than Reiner (also that's what he chose to take away from seeing his brother's memories. Not his brother's love, an excuse to call Reiner bad). Also his entire reason for wanting to be a titan was so that he could watch people be be terrified of him as he killed them. If you look at all the times he attacked people as a titan, he very deliberately did it in a way that would give them time to feel fear (unless he had no choice but to be quick). On a personal level I absolutely hate him and I don't feel sorry for him when Eren repeatedly cruches his body with karate chops or Falco eats him. PS. The memory thing between him and Reiner happened because Reiner was touching the founding titan at the time.

How Zeke got the power of the the founding titan (aka FT) 1. Currently, Ymir will only obey royalty 2. As Zeke says at 28:00, royal inheritors of the founding titan come to the paths to use the power by commanding her. 3. Since Zeke only has royal blood and not the FT, he has no way to enter paths at will. 4. It is still possible to enter paths without the FT, although not at will; as seen when freckled Ymir, Zeke (to have his body rebuilt), and later all Eldians were called into paths for various reasons. (I will attempt to explain freckled Ymir and Zeke at the end) 5. Funnily, had Zeke been fully lucid and known who Ymir was in 4x17 whilst being rebuilt, I think he could have commanded her to carry out his plan right then. 6. The vow renouncing war makes it so that even if Zeke did own the FT (and thus the ability to enter paths at will) he would be "brainwashed" to stop him from doing anything different from Karl Fritz's ideals. 7. As described in point 2, a typical usage of the FT power would involve traveling to the paths. Assumedly, this didn't happen at the end of S2 because Dina, the royal, was a regular titan without intelligence. And so the power transferred to Eren through their touch (idk how exactly). 8. By being in contact with Eren (the FT) Zeke was able to enter paths. So Zeke has the opportunity to command Ymir, without having first been brainwashed by owning the FT. Based on how Zeke was awake in paths before Eren, I assume he commanded Ymir to bring Eren there. Final thingy: Although normally Ymir seems to remotely heal people from paths, there is a theory that she calls people to paths when they are very severely injured. Freckled Ymir woke up in paths after inheriting the Jaw titan. Usually with inheritance, the person had only been a pure titan briefly, in order to eat the other person. But with freckled Ymir, she had been a pure titan for many decades. The theory is that her human body had almost fully dissolved inside the nape, leaving only her spine. So to return to human form, she had to be completely rebuilt. This idea does suggest that human bodies in the napes of newly-formed pure titan are intact. Although I assume the human body is braindead and the only "thoughts" are occuring in the brain of the pure titan itself. As for how Zeke entered paths in 4x17, i guess he was sufficiently injured such that he couldn't be healed normally. So he pulled out an op ability to command that pure titan to give him its life energy or something. And because it was an extreme level of healing required, Ymir brought him to paths. This is my best guess

I dont know maybe its said it already, or you likely figured it out already. And since you finished already else would be spoilery. The founding titan is the coordinate and the tree in the paths is that as well. And the tree, the coordinate is used to manipulate eldians. Since the founding titan is the coordinate only he can acces, but need royal blood. Since they only name the founding titan as the coordinate its confusing.

5:26 Yes, it's possible to trigger memories among intelligent titans. Armin seems to be aware of this too when he tried to touch Annie's cocoon back in episode 12. I've seen some comments on other reactors' videos that Porco's memories from Marcel might have been triggered by the connection Reiner made between him and the Founder. But then Eren had been smashing Porco to death earlier so, probably not. It was just Reiner's touch. 32:10 Love how you pieced Founder Ymir together here. This is what I think: Zeke isn't the Founder, he doesn't have the Founder and therefore he is not bound by the vow of King Fritz. Eren has the Founder but he doesn't royal blood which commands Ymir. Therefore, he is not bound by the vow but he can't use the Founder's power either. So yes, as you thought, both of them can use the power when they touch because now they have the two essentials: Titan with Royal Blood and the Founding Titan. Basically, what Tom Ksaver said to Zeke: He was the key to unlock the power of the Coordinate, not Eren. Eren is the container that needs to be opened.

This place named the Paths are indeed another dimension. And the fact Ymir created all titans until now, when each person turned into a titan, just show where the titans come from. All titans are Ymir's creation. And the yellow lightening from the transformation is basically an opening between reality and the Paths. But since years can pass in the Paths, where it's only one second in reality, the time of a titan's transformation is turned into years of building by Ymir. And that's also why titans are not as heavy as they should be, like Hange explained it. Titans are made of the Paths' sand. Ymir is the one who has all powers in the Paths. She is the Founding Titan. And Eren is, by his powers, connected to her. With royal blood, it can open them the way to the Paths. But the Founding titan only obey to those with royal blood, because Ymir is a slave to royal blood. So, Eren can't do anything here. Zeke is the one in power. By the way, the comparison between Eren and Paul Atreides is very true. They are very similar.

Then ofc at the end after all his actions, motivations and emotions were revealed and reasoned he finally became the great protagonist he is now. Only the royal people that posess the Founding Titan have the vow restricting them, Zeke got to the coordinate place via Eren, thus Zeke is immune to the restrictions and thus can do whatever he wants basically. At first the hypothesis was that Eren would have all the control, but as Zeke mentions, Ymir is a slave to people with royal blood, she tends to choose them over anyone else, so thats how Zeke got the upper hand here. Its funny how in the manga, Eren getting his head blown off was the end of a chapter, and people had to wait a whole month for the next one, i was really dissapointed that the anime didnt make it a cliffhanger, having that at the end of an episode. Armin's group obective is not stupid. It's the best thing to do, even if they never shouldn't let Eren and Zeke come into contact, and kill Zeke. Here you really disappointed me. Even if they want to save Eren before, saving the Founder is more important than everything else. If Marley obtain it, it's the end for the entire Island. Did you forgot their objective to annihilate every Eldians ? Thanks to the Founder, they would have been able to conquer others nations, and making the same thing Eldians did in the past. Is this the best thing ? I don't think so. Remember it's their goal. It's not to "end 2000 years of malice" It's to destroy everyone. No matter where you are looking at, Eren nor Marley shouldn't have the Founder. I was for Armin's group here. It was sadly saving Eren, or being killed by Marley.

If they tried to negociate to keep Zeke and Eren separate, they would have erase all threat. But no, they just attacked with the goal to steal the Founder from the Island's hands. Your point doesn't make sense. That's why i'm really disappointed. I really think you are clever. But here, you are not watching the global situation, and only care about what Magath is saying. One, Magath's goal is to end the cycle of hatred by submiting Eldians to Marley. If he'll understand he was wrong later. At this point, his goal is to destroy the entire Island. Second, if his goal was to create peace and break the cycle, he should have negociate with the Island, and helping them keep Eren and Zeke at bay, instead of stealing them the power. Third, Magath is not Marley, nor Pieck care about the Island. At leat, i could trust Reiner. But the others are trully against the entire Island. And fourth. @@storieswithstyle I'm sorry but I have no idea how you came to that conclusion. Many interpretations in a story are subjective but that is just objectively wrong. The Marleyans and even the mainland Eldians want to eradicate the island devils. That has been established ad nauseam, did you forget they are the painter people? Their plan is to take the founder, eradicate the island devils, take the resources of Paradis, conquer the world using the power of the titans, and then when technological advancement makes titans less useful in war, exterminate the remaining Eldians. Willy's plan in the Liberio festival was to leverage Eren's attack in order to divert hate away from the Eldians on the mainland and onto Paradis. He sacrificed himself to rally the nations and unite the world against Paradis, not to save it. If he wanted to save the people of Paradis he wouldn't be hyping the world up about killing the island devils.

You are right that he did talk about the island devils, but his main cause was still eren. He named Eren the enemy and even went through all the trouble to establish the Eldians as heroes of the titan war and not Helos. Granted, that will probably be misunderstoof by many of the people present in the theater, but to me it was always that Willy did indeed safe his people (as in the Eldians). Otherwise half the episode with Declaration of war made no sense to me, but if you have another explanation, I am all ears. What is your take on Willy dispersing the Helos myth and naming Eren directly? Was it jsut because zeke gaslit him? I think that would be possible, but a lot less layered. Edit: I think this perspective in the reaction came also from the problem that I knew more than the characters. i think I had already written off eren as evil at this point, but of course the characters and his friends did not know. I talk about that more in the 4x22 reaction iirc. =)

writing this assuming you've finished s4p2. i'm surprised you hate eren and zeke so much. the show was written to be morally grey. eldia allegedly inflicted suffering on other races and nations with their powers, marley took control and then oppressed the eldians (as did nearly all nations), and then tried to take the founding titan so they could monopolise titan powers and access natural resources, all so they can rule the world. eren hated the titans for oppressing his people, realised that was the rest of the world's fault, and then tried to see if there was a solution for coexistence. he determined there wasnt, and chose his people over everyone else. zeke on the other hand chose everyone else over eldians, but still wanted what remained of eldia to live out the rest of their lives in peace. marley still wants to be in charge. willy united the world against paradis to bait eren out and give them a reason to band together. nothing is to say that the treatement of eldians will improved, as later in the show marley and other nations still view them as lesser. i'd probably say i support zeke's plan the most. titan powers are inherently dangerous, since the 9 have to exist. either they get passed on randomly and you hope they dont get misused, or they are passed down by choice which brings the implication of corruption. the existence of eldians more or less necessitates authoritarian measures where the founding titan keeps everything in check, and i know i dont support that. they are essentially a race that introduces nuclear capabilities in the form of people. as much as i don't advocate for genocide, constant war, pain, and suffering needs to be avoided, and at the very least zeke's solution is one where eldians can live out the rest of their lives relatively stress free, and titans will disappear from the world. of course, that's my view, but like i said, morally grey show. certainly cant hate on eren too much (except i kind of can because i dont support nationalism but then again he is the victim of oppression and has always embodied the spirit of freedom).

I disagree on Eren, he is not morally Grey. He is pure evil. Just because we understand why, does not make him morally grey. He was depicted as morally grey for a long time, but with the movie reveals he def is evil to me. "and then tried to see if there was a solution for coexistence" the point is exactly that he never did, he just pretended as he stated in the Armin conversation, I strongly diagree with Zeke's plan. it sounds on the surface really "kind", but having seen someone realizing they could not get chuildren and getting broken by that just makes me go "f* you zeke". The test rumbling was a far better plan and was arguably only not implemented because of Eren wanting to destroy the world out of hate. Also, there is another solution in conjunction with that, but I will talk about that idea in the next ep or the one after. =)
@amampathak
@amampathak Месяц назад
@@storieswithstyle the "test" rumbling wouldn't last, we've already seen that the technology is slowly outpacing titan powers, and paradis has nothing but the few titans, not even the complete set of nine. And so sooner or later, in the future, marley will regroup and attack with better technology, and paradis titan powers will be no match. Marley's army is ten thousnds strong, paradis cannot win this war, even in the future. Also, you're forgetting one major point. Determinism and bootsrap paradox. if you paid attention, and in retrospect, you will see that eren is TRYING so many times to see if the future he saw in his memories can change [asking hanje for another way, waiting for willy to announce war etc], but it always happens like he saw the glimpses of. Eren is not "evil" , He doesn't get satisfaction out of suffering of others. He is Stupid and blinded by the idea of freedom. That makes him do actions what would be considered evil , but there's a group of people he is a messiah for , thus its morally gray. I dont know why you have a hate for Eren and zeke, they are also product of their environment.

@@amampathak I disagree, but see your points. The thing is though, a) Eren caused the attack from marley. he and Zeke gaslit them into starting it. They did not have their eyes on paradis anymore aftter s3, but zeke brought it up again and gaslit willy. So yes, the test rumbling would not last, but having some of the best engineers of the world (Hanje, Onyakopon and Azumabito) might have even given them the edge. There still would have been many deaths, but at least not 80%. Alkso, Eren is evil, he is one of the few truly evil characters in the show. Granted, that was only revealed in his conversation with Armin and his Mikasa scenes in movie 2, but is was pretty clear that Eren is petty and hateful and that that is his driving force, though he pretends his main dirve is his friends, which is not true (as stated by himself and seen in his asinine actions). Also, he did not really try to change anything. he said one line about it and to me (subjective, of course) it was more an excuse for him to go full on hateful psychopath. In the end it is revealed he is NOT a slave to freedom, he just says that. he is a slave to hatred and power. Which was the best twist in the show imo next to Reiner reveal and 3x20. Just because people have human facets and you know why they are the way they are, they can still be evil s.o.b.'s. That is like saying "H**ler was just a product of his environment". Okay, he was still evil as f**. Also, Eren being a product of his environment is also up for debate (one of the best ambiguities in the show in my imnd), though Zeke I agree, he is a product of that. =)

@@storieswithstyle I see your point, This is the beauty of the show to have various different perspective, and a lot of things are quite vague and you're allowed to form your own opinion about it. I do disagree that marley was going to attack paradis no matter what, because of the Iceburst stone resource, that is why hizuru wanted to ally with paradis to get profits out of that. Eren being evil / not evil is basically the core question left at the end of the stone, can one truly be evil if every action was pre-determined from the start. Who determined it, was it eren's will? was it ymir? can someone be guilty of something they do in the future they have no control over? This is the big question. Bootsrap determinism paradox fucks with the ideas of morality. If you see the future, it is going to happen. For example, imagine if you get a vision that tomorrow you're going to punch someone, now that you have seen the future, it is bound to happen. If it DID NOT happen, it couldn't be the Future, hence there's a paradox. There is no 'other' timelines shit. you can't compare eren to hit**r because eren till the point of end of season 3 hadn't committed serious crimes against all of humanity or something. Its only after he saw the vision what he was about to do, that was pre-written for him. This means the very character that was fighting for the idea of freedom is the one enslaved. which is a strange fucked up irony that AOT explores.
