Since no one else has commented, I'd like to thank you for creating helpful videos. I actually ordered a replacement gas cylinder/column from you this past week as my last one was failing. I did everything possible to remove the old column from the old base, but there's nothing more I can do to attempt to remove it. It's permanently stuck in, which doesn't surprise me as I'm a big dude and I've been sitting on it daily for 2 years. Anyways, to get back on track, even though it's impossible to remove the old column, the bright side of things was that the new gas cylinder/column I ordered from you guys was of insanely high quality and far surpassed to failing one, even when it was brand new. This gave me the confidence to know that I'm most definitely going to order the new 28" base from you as well. You guys really sell top notch products! Thanks again and I'm looking forward to ordering the new base this week to return my chair to its former glory and then some! You all have a great day!

Thanks for your kind words! Have you tried WD-40? One time we were working on a chair base for a couple days to get the column out. We soaked it in WD-40 three times and finally got fed up and held it with the top up / bottom down and slammed it on a table where the column sticks out a bit from the bottom of the base. It popped out and FLEW. Super dangerous, and we don't recommend it - but, it worked!
