I figured it would have been typical Michael Scott to have booked the hotel in Vancouver, Washington rather than Vancouver, BC. Vancouver WA in not only not across the border from Vancouver BC, it’s clear down at the southern border of WA and Oregon, about 6 hours south of BC. (That actually happened to about 50 people during the 2010 Olympics; they booked in Vancouver, WA, thinking they got a steal of a deal…)

A hotel can't charge you for cancellations if the reason for the cancellation is entirely their fault. Also they have to provide you a voucher if you don't get a refund. But since this was the Olympics, he could sue them for the loss of his experience

Or, and I truly can't tell with Jims' face, he's planning the biggest prank right there. What I can't figure out is if Michael is saying what was on the mailbox correctly and once Jim said Nights' name as the prank, he believed Shulman was a false name to avoid attn, OR if Jim is pulling a prank and Michael is suddenly remembering that it DID say that. I guess in both scenarios, it's Jim playing a prank lol Another scenario I thought of while typing this - Jim is also a celeb gossip hound and heard somewhere that M Night Shyamalan goes by M. Shulman, as a ghostwriter, or for privacy, etc other reasons celebs use
