I really feel for law enforcement. They are community protectors and treat everyone they encounter with respect (at least this fine officer does). They have no idea when someone is going to try to harm them. It must be exhausting to keep their head on a swivel like that day after day. A single moment of complacency can cost them their life. I would love to see two officers in every patrol vehicle. I’m guessing that’s cost prohibitive or it would be more common. In the vast majority of the videos I’ve watched where an officer lost their life, they were alone. Stay safe, ladies and gentleman.

I can't believe this young man did this after seeing several encounters with him and other deputies and everyone was polite, courteous, respectful and so kind. I went and looked up the incident and read a article that read like a movie. Fowles and another officer were investigated for criminal activity 2022 but it was false it was cos they foundered " cops for Joe McGill " current sheriff. The sheriff at the time Sharon Wehrly was not happy they didn't support her, so she went on the war path, she even demoted a Officer for putting a Joe McGill sign in their yard. She even had Joe McGill investigated by IA. She was nasty and passed away Dec 2023. Officer Flowles you fought for your job, integrity and exposed a corrupt Sheriff. Now you can add fighting for your life. Congrats Sir.

I am a former resident of Las Vegas and have been to Nye County many times. It was good to see the area again and see these officers in action. Thanks to them for keeping Nye County safe. BTW, it looks like Nye County has grown a LOT since I was there in the 1990s hahaha

I'm thankful the police officer didn't get shot. They have very dangerous jobs and people should be more appreciative of what they do every day in order to keep us safe. It's sad that the young man chose to become a criminal and that choice cost him his life. Thank you to all our men and women in law enforcement. Please stay safe ❤️

A lucky officer! Such a dangerous job. You can see how shook up the officer is and how close he was to losing his life. No one can tell me that this job isn't courageous. For all those that bad mouth law enforcement you need to watch this video. And keep in mind that there are millions of officers in the United States and just like everyone else there aregood cops bad cops good teachers bad teachers and to label the cops the way that a majority of people do is wrong. I have always said that each citizen should do a ride-along for a week with a cop and they would change their mind.

You are correct. I used to say the same thing. Please do some ride a longs are a citizens academy. It was such a transformation to see people at the beginning and end of the citizen’s academy. I can’t remember the city but there was a civil rights pastor who was very negative with all law enforcement. They asked him to do some ride a longs and a citizen’s academy. The pastor totally changed his mind. I think agencies need to bring them back.

My husband was The Mayor of our small town in Utah. He went on a lot of ride alongs. The craziness that he told me he saw in our tiny little town in Utah scared to to death! There is such ugliness in this world! I pray for every Officer and Fire Personal to come home safely after every shift. My Brother is A firefighter captain for LA County I’m scared for him every shift!

Omg I think this by far the best body-cam video I’ve ever watched and my husband I watch a lot of them. God Bless that Officer and Thank The Lord that he was watching over him during this tragedy. I know that no Officer wants to kill someone, however when and if the time comes I Pray that they will always go home to their Families every time. We have a Family member that was a CHP Officer and he did not make it home to his wife and two beautiful children. Thank God this Officer did make it home🙏❤️🙏👮‍♀️🚔🚨

LVMPD showed up at my door last year. Camera crew in tow. Someone called 911 and said they were a child and being held against their will in my backyard!! Those gps coordinates from cell phones are not always accurate.

You could hear the terror in that officer’s voice when he said he didn’t think he was going to make it home alive that night. While it’s a tragedy that Joshua lost his life, especially after getting hit by a car already, it seems like he had a lot of issues that he wasn’t able to get the proper treatment for and he put himself in the position for this to happen by grabbing the officer’s weapon. I hope that the officer is doing well.

Such a tragic case involving Sgt.Fowles it certainly gives us all a reminder of the often serious situations law enforcement face in the line of duty, in this instance it definitely appears he had no other option but to defend himself basically fighting for his life, I hope he recovers well and soon. Prayers also for Joshua and his family may he rest in peace god bless 😢🙏

Wow November 23rd was actually my bday. It actually landed on thanksgiving this year. WAIT... THAT WAS THE ROLLERBLADE GUY RIGHT? Omg this is all so incredibly sad. Im so sorry for the officer and everything he had to deal with, cause not only is the mental part of it gonna be difficult but all the ahots and things he will have had to of gotten because the guy was HIV positive. Just curious on what the NCSO policy is on having to 1) Wear a vest 2) Wear your portable radio, so you can effectively 3) Communicate the fact that you're engaging in a foot pursuit - and where 4) Have a body cam. Remembering this guy is a sergeant.

I would suspect that additional training was required after this incident for multiple mistakes he made. Chasing after someone without letting someone know is dangerous and evetybody probably agrees with that. That mistake almost cost him his life. What a better question would be to the sheriff is how many other bad ones are in his area like him and publish that information so others can be aware of them. Keeping that information private amongst themselves and their databases doesnt help to protect the public.

Yes. That’s the one who attacked the officer and was fighting over the officers gun.

Okay. It sounded like they said Reeves on the stop but then Reece on the shooting. That’s insane. I’m glad he wasn’t aggressive during the first stop

Sending all the love to Sgt Fowler he tried so hard to stop a shooting but Reese was intent on causing him injury. What a terrifying position to be in no matter how much training you have had. Reese by the sound of it was a completely mixed up young man and sadly paid for it with his life. So glad Sgt Fowler is ok. Sending all the love to all the officers as it affects them all. Another banger!! Also i had some questions, if your with an officer that arrests someone do they put the arresting person in the same car as you guys? And have you guys ever planned on doing like interviews with the officers ?

Yes, if they arrest someone they are riding in the back. We usually ride along with only one camera man. Yes, we are doing interviews this year and we will include questions from the community. We also change the way of filming and editing.
