Thank you!!!!! I served my country for 6 years and in my 6th year, I had to retire. I am a retired Navy Veteran from Desert Storm. I took 6 bullets and my convoy was hit with an IED. We were in the front and there were 4 of us in the Humvee. When I crawled out, a MF shot me 4 times in my back, 1 time in my right hamstring and once in my left ankle tearing through my Achilles Tendon!!!! If it wasn't for my Brothers rushing in like they had, that MF would have no doubt ended my life and my wife and kids would have never seen me again. 2 of my brothers that rushed in, they were hit in the legs. We were all lucky to get out of there alive. My LT and a Navy Seal that is my Cousin, they went and hunted the 4 men that tried to kill us. I won't say what was done at that point, I'll just say they never talked again to anyone. I enlisted to serve my country because I truly believed that we lived in not the best country, but the greatest country to ever exist. After all the time I spent in Iraq, I found out a few things. Most of the people there, they loved us man. But with all that love comes a huge issue. When you are walking and some woman, man or kid comes running towards you, I have to lift my rifle and be ready to fire!!! Those S.O.B.'s didn't wear any type of uniforms like CNN was showing. No they dressed just like everyone else. What I saw their so call Leader was doing to those poor people was sickening!!! Here's the bad part about the crap. We couldn't HELP THEM 1 bit!!! We were there to find treasures and get the Iraq military out of Kuwait and its that plain and simple. When 9/11 happened. Brother I wanted to be on a plane headed to Iraq and Afghanistan!!! But unfortunately I laid in my bed crying because I knew I couldn't go. I can't walk further than 50 feet before I'm shaking so bad from all the pain. Now I have listened to everything I could get my hands on and man, I'm not sure if this wasn't an inside job. There's so much evidence pointing towards my government that I f******* fought for that I want to throw up. We need more people like Sean on the streets beating drums. We need to protect what George Washington, Ben Franklin and John Hancock wanted. They wanted to make George Washington a King and that man said NO!!!!! Lorena Alvarez, I want to start off by saying no disrespect to Officer Hirsch #5387 from the Suffolk County Police but technically there is no law or case law the prohibits anyone from photographing. The U.S. Supreme Court held that the First Amendment allows citizens to record the POLICE and any other matter of public interest which means you can video record anything you see within the scope of your vision. As long as the person that's recording does not obstruct the performance of the officer's duties or postal worker's duties and while recording that person keeps back a reasonable distance away. However, Officer Hirsch stated that if you are a Journalist you need a Journalist ID card the First Amendment does not specify anything that you need a Journalist ID card or a Press ID card at all. The Sergeant and the Officers need to go back for their annual in-service training concerning the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on citizens conducting First Amendment Audits or what Acting Police Commissioner Stuart K. Cameron should do is put out in writing a memorandum stating that Federal Courts decisions have generally held under the First Amendment that individuals have a right to photograph or record public buildings or any other matter of public interest that's visual from public places so if contact is made with people that are photographing or video recording it should be treated as a First Amendment issue, in other words, they have protection under the First Amendment and that this memorandum shall be read in 5 consecutive line ups and that every officer must sign for it and receive a copy.

I whole heartedly give you a thumbs up for understanding that there is no such thing as privacy in public. These cops know this. Btw, if you are ever in the back seat of a patrol car, they will sometimes use a recorder in the front seat to pick up everything you say, in the event you might incriminate yourself. Beware if they place you in the back seat with somebody else, as they are counting on you talking to each other. They take full advantage of the 'no privacy in public' concept every chance they get, but they don't want the rest of us to be able to take advantage of it ourselves.

DHS can make agreements with local law enforcement. Don't bet your bottom dollar on jurisdiction.

The jurisdiction question is addressed by Poster 7 as well. Federal Postal Security Force enforce the law, a PO can enter into an agreement with local LEOs to give them jurisdiction as well. The question is pretty much moot, though, because alleged violations are simply filed in federal court. There's no arrest or whatever for recording in a PO.

It goes to show that they don't uphold the constitutional oath. That's why these audits happen. Most cops need a re-education about constitutional rights and law. And quit breaking those laws. The academy knows that cops are notorious for breaking the law and rights of Americans. Now police officers police the citizens with the laws not ordinance for if an ordinance breaks said constitutional law they are breaking the law with someone's will and doctrine. It would be best for all government officials to get the education of the law, i.e constitutional rights and laws. It's sad that this still exists. I'm a proud American our freedom is just that and it was written that government is not above us. But they threaten to lock anyone up who stands for their rights. It needs to cese and desist.

No, they really shouldn't. I'm a civil rights attorney, and in many of these videos, the auditors themselves get quite a few things wrong . . . and just generally act like dicks. That in no way excuses the way the other people behave. I'm not saying the auditor being wrong makes the pigs right. But when ALL the parties involved are screwing SOMETHING up . . . well that's not a good thing to show to students unless you're doing so in an effort to specifically teach them about what was done wrongly. For example, in this video, claiming to be filming for both news and commercial purposes was a mistake. If you're filming for commercial purposes, then you need consent, even if it's ALSO at the same time for news purposes. The auditor was just lucky the cop was too ignorant to know that.

As a high school journalism student in the mid seventies. A number of us discussed and contributed to an article on constitutional issues specific to the 1st and 4th amendments. An in depth piece slated for publication, co-authored by two students, researched and collaborated by others. Was banned by the high school administration prior to publication. Despite being censored. It opened the eyes of the entire class of 20 or so students. And displayed the intentional derailing of the learning process of individual rights and freedoms provided within the constitution. This intentional “dumbing down” of America has been the norm for generations..

One of their strategies is to bring the genuine person out of balance and make them sink down to their level, so their level is not so apparent anymore. That does not work with Sean! It is amazing, how so many of these videos show no ability at all, for the simplest ability to problem solve. His mental capacity is at the level of concrete thinking. No ability for abstract thinking or high level problem solving. Easily frustrated and quickness to anger is a bad combination.

To be fair, the first cop was trying to separate the two parties in question without interjection from the other for investigation purposes. The first cop should have immediately walked over to the poster so LIA could explain himself. Instead, he did what the post office what him to do, remove LIA from the building.
