I really wish that they couldn't turn their cameras audio or video off!! Because to me that just means their covering something up and not transparent at all so what's the point to have them. If and when their requested, they can then redact it but even then, it's not right.

Well that one lady said she has proof on her phone that the two was yelling at voters and going up to their faces Showed it to the cop and it was a bust. Lol 😝 Cops are idiots to think cop callers are always right.
Body cams should be above the shoulder. The officers are not professional at all. He's saying things that shouldn't be said, he should keep his personal opinion to himself. It's sad they don't know the LAW.

Any officer that turns his body cam off at anytime during a reaction with a citizen Should be fired immediately. The public did not demand accountability and transparency and paid for these cameras for officers to manipulate and cover up! And that’s exactly what your doing when you tamper with your body cam. Listen to this officers attitude and you wonder why the public has a issue with policing where’s that upmost higher standards required to be a officer. Just appalling behavior corrupt behavior and a dirty cop period.

Cops need to quickly decide if person is breaking a law and if not disengage not ask a bunch of irrelevant questions. Making people uneasy is not crime.
funny how the officer has a problem with a guy with a camera having his hands in his pockets when it's cold but doesn't seem to have the same problem with the man who just announced that he carries a gun and would have likely shot the camera man for not wearing a mask. HMMMM. WTF?
And the guy that said he had every right to shoot him for annoying him in public should have his license taken away and be arrested also because I believe pretty much everywhere in the United States if you threaten somebody with a firearm it's illegal and subject to immediate surrender of your gun license

Then the cop asked the old man to take his hands out of his pocket. But if you look to the right, the fat guy had his hands in his pocket, too. You can see him take his hands out of his pocket once the cop told the other guy to do it. Funny how the fat Karen guy was allowed to keep his hands in his pocket that was no problem, but when the old man did it, that was a problem. Then we have cops muting their video like that’s not sketchy as hell. So much for transparency.
I'm nitpicking, but after watching so many officer/citizen encounters, frequently I notice one of the commands by an officer is to "take your hands out of your pockets." In most cases I've felt that this is a petty "order" and merely a tactic to establish command and control over a citizen. And here it is again. The officer is talking to an agitated fellow, right next to him, in a blue shirt who had just previously made a statement to the officer that "I'm a gun carrier and I could have shot her." Shortly after saying that, the fellow puts his hands in his pockets (12:34). When I noticed this I thought, wow, the officer didn't give the order for the guy to keep his hands out of his pockets! If there ever was a time to give that order, this is it. But then, less than one minute later (13:29), the officer turns to the camera guy, orders him to keep his hands out of his pockets and proceeds to give him a lecture about it. Does anybody think this is an "officer safety" thing?
The body cameras were originally designed so that officers could not routinely turn them off. Police departments CHOSE to allow the officers to override this feature. Turning off bodycam footage and/or muting footage should carry a criminal charge of evidence tampering. We pay for this equipment, it should not be altered
The big guys just admitted he was carrying a gun at a polling place. Then he said the police should go away for a few minutes so he could deal with them. Turning off the body cameras should be illegal. However, it should be evidence of guilt in a conspiracy to violate civil rights under color of law.
I'm curious what state this is that allows you to carry a gun into a polling place. And if it's not allowed why wasn't Mr beer belly taken into cusztody
Mute the body cam, so they can’t hear us conspiring to find a way to arrest these lawful journalists. Both of these officers need to be fired. Not given the opportunity to resign fired.
We need to hire law enforcement officers that have a higher level of reading comprehension skills, deductive reasoning skills and critical thinking skills.

The round guy in the hoodie said he has a firearm on him. And said he would be within his rights to shoot him. Not sure why the officer isn’t scared of him.
I feel that any time a police officer mutes his body camera while engaging with the public should be instantly fired even when they're talking to each other if that has to go to court I think the court needs to know what's being said!

That Karen (Leslie) and Daren are the ones making a disturbance. He is ignorant of public photography and no privacy in public so he has no legal stand to sue the videographer. That Daren is unstable and argumentative besides hostile. Any officer who turns his bodycam off when talking to another officer at a scene should be put on administrative leave for a week without pay. Those records are for confirmation of what is going on at the scene. The officers talking among themselves for verification, planning, or action is important for the case. What reason do they have for muting the bodycam? What are they saying that isn't legal, lawful, or protected speech? This is why people always should tape the police, during an encounter. For you cannot count on their bodycams as the police control them and they can edit out, delete, or turn off the bodycams at will.
At the end of the vid the polling official said that he was looking through the window and could see behind the curtain. If they are not supplying the privacy, that’s on them. As long as he is not physically, pulling the curtain back, or opening the door going past barricade.Then anyone could look through that window and witness what is supposed to be private. That’s just poorly designed privacy.

Note he does not ask if the people in line start yelling are they subject to same punishment. Cop also did not seem to mind the guy threatening to shoot unarmed man with camera.

If filming in public was illegal they couldn't put cameras on the street signs and buildings and everything else facing outward and they wouldn't have them in everybody's phone. They have the right to to film us just like we have the right to film them you're in public don't like it sorry. And for the guy that said he's a gun carrier I hope he's not carrying a gun right there cuz it's illegal to carry a gun to a voting station.
It should be illegal to Remove, Mute, Cover, Turn Off, remove and put someplace while they talk, or Any Kind of Obstruction with ANY law enforcement video cameras or still cameras and if any of that happens case is dismissed. We the people shouldn’t believe ANYTHING LAW ENFORCEMENT SAYS if it’s not on camera! There is too many examples of law enforcement Lying, making things up, or putting down what they did as the citizens did it like speeding. They also need to show whole videos and not cut ANYTHING OUT except private info. Law enforcement videos from body cameras, dash cameras, cameras in all federal buildings and jails and police departments, all those videos need to go to a 3rd party and be watched by someone with a law background and it’s not just 1 person watching the videos they go through several people watching and determine if the police did anything wrong.

This video could EASILY turn into a huge civil rights lawsuit and PR hornet's nest for this city and police department. Body cam definitely should not have a mute button, this is why cops can lie so easily as they do all the time have convenient for the cops! Defund cops, qualified Immunity needs to go! I hate copsplaining which is what we have here!
