Man, to me, of all the B-sides this one perfectly encapsulates the feeling of "Yeah, this is gonna suck and it's gonna be rough, but you will come out so fucking good at the end of it all." Pure bliss and emotion.
the hunger of dashing through a heart accompanied with the eerie whaaAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM was the thing that drove me. every. time. all the way through c sides too.
Discovered In Love With a Ghost, and then discovered Celeste right after without any connection. It was seriously crazy to find out he was part of the sountrack. It’s a match made in heaven
That same thing kind of happened with Ben Prunty, I knew he did Black Moonrise and then I went to listen to the FTL soundtrack and saw his name on the artwork and I thought to myself "Ben Prunty, sounds famil- _*oh right!_"*
Churgungo Frungo I don’t really listen to In Love With a Ghost, but I discovered him/her/them through Snail’s House a few years back. I was surprised to find one of his/her/their songs in this soundtrack.
@@sakurahikxri 4th b-side was way more easier than the 3rd b-side i habe 400 deaths on this. However on the 3rd b-side................................................................................................1500 :D
2:45 Every time that tune comes in, its like watching a sunset while sitting a top of mountain Celeste, it brings tears, especially at the end, where it starts to fade away.
if you listen to it with headphones it cycles from one side to the other, so it kinda makes you feel like the sun and all the planets are revolving around you
Son: Dad? why is my sister named rose? Dad: Because your mother loved roses Son: Thanks dad Dad: No problem [Official] Celeste B-Sides - 04 - in love with a ghost - Golden Ridge (Golden Feather Mix)
it's really good in that manner because it's a juxtaposition to the brutal level design similar to something like stickerbrush symphony and helps quell your anxiety as you're making your way through its challenges. the environment is really good at this too, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that golden ridge is a lower point of madeline's anxiety, even if the main level's music is more suspenseful and has more buildup with the percussion
Yeah, because the levels get so hard, im gonna be dying a lot. That means the music is gonna stick with me. Some are calming and peaceful like this, while others hype me up 😂
1100 first time.lol. 180 second time. Just 30 third time. This is what devs meant when they said be proud of death count.Feels good in end. Game didnt get any easy, I got better with time.
@@jigartalaviya2340 yeah same thing happened with me, it took me 4 hours to complete 7c the first time, 12 minutes the second time, and 5 minutes the 3rd time
So I am 100% convinced that if it weren't for Lena's music in this game, I would have raged so hard and quit way before I was able to complete all the B and C sides. The fact this music is so damn good, not too repetitive or annoying, and fitting of the atmospheres/levels they were in made this game so much more enjoyable than it would have been without it. So if you ever read this, thank you Lena. For real, this was such a surprise game with such an amazing soundtrack.
Lena made the normal (A-side) tracks, all B-side tracks (except for Summit) are remixes done by other people. But yeah still, mad props to Lena, she did a phenomenal job on the OST of this game
Weird how I can be like : A-Side : I freakin love this amazing game B-Side : PLEASE KILL ME I JUST WANT THIS PAIN TO END WHAT A TERRIBLE GAME B-Side done : I freakin love this amazing game
i can say the same about the d sides. 4d was hard as hell and the platforming was very hard, but the music made it a lot better. i can say the same with 7d too, it was extremely difficult but very fun
This song goes under my list of songs that make me say: "Holy crap this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard in my life also where am I, who am I, what is life" this track is absolutely breathtaking.
The name, yeah, but not the music : the music is relaxing, a bit funny, it just can’t be with the Celestial Resort, which is the haunted hotel, Black Moonrise would stick better to the Celestial Resort
That's a pretty powerful way of describing this track, and also a tinge poetic. The track kind of brings Undertale-like vibes, now that I think about it. Phew, the emotions from the whistle!
this is, without a doubt, my favorite song in celeste I have actually barely played this game, I have no nostalgia for it, but I don't think I have ever ever teared up from a song on the first listen before this song, this song hits me the same way as some songs from my most nostalgic video games do, it truly hits different from the rest of the ost, absolute perfection
I wanna ride a train super early in the morning and record all the scenery passing by just ourside the window as the sun is rising just so I can put this song over the footage. I think it'll fit so well.

I absolutely adore this song, but my favorite part is probably that fade out. Instead of just slowly vanishing into nothing, I love how elements of the song are dulled and then washed out by a single, peaceful chord - like the song was washed away by a wave. It's gorgeous.
The combination of the music and the beautiful sunset in the background of the level kinda makes you feel like you're in heaven, and the vocals sound like that of an angel. This is truly, a work of art. Edit: Came back to this a few years later and still getting chills, still awesome
EZ yeah alot of the tracks do this. Its always worth using surround sound modes on games with music like this. (Surround also helps on 3A/B for the boss)
If you have one earbud in it sounds like this: Doot doot doot do.....................oot doot doot doot doot doot......................t doot doot doot doot doo..................doot doot doot doot
I know it's relaxing to a lot of persons, I can get it but... why does it messes so much with my feelings? The overall ambience is.. I would not say sad because that's not the feeling this song might be meant to carry, I haven't yet went through the B sides of Golden Ridge, I discovered the song watching the agdq run (which is by far the most wholesome run I've seen. Laughter and pure passion, memes all over the place! 10/10 best antidepressant) so I might not have the experience of going through the tough level (only did 1B and 2B yet) Adding that to the discovery of this song.. oof mah heart mah soul. I went to give it an ear to this whole song and.. I wasn't prepared. I'm a musician but not an expert, I don't have the perfect pitch nor the skills to analyse the masterpiece that is this game soundtrack. The first notes.. I can't express how these first notes resonated in me. I felt a huge tidal wave of sorrow and I felt so small, overwhelmed, I found myself wondering what was going on, why did it triggered way too many emotions in.. basically one single bar! Yes, everything I said was when I only listened to the intro! Because the whole song was... fgkjgfdsrghb ❤ The slow tempo is like a call to breath away from the anger of messing a part of that level, take it slow and sync your breathing to this beat and not on the brass synth which goes way faster and would seem to represent a wave of self doubt yet.. these chords are beyond amazingly beautiful.. The percussions are minimalist yet powerful, the kick is deep and the reverb around it gives it a heart beat like tone, which is comforting! The clap (or snap, maybe it's both) is light, as if it was meant to be a bit more discreet to make the track a bit more calm and smooth than a good old snappy 808 snare that would be a tad too energetic and unnerving I think.. But the thing that really really goes on to me is the long voice-like synth. It's tough for me to be precise, cause I ear both an innocent singing and a slow lament, the portamento (I think that's the correct word for describing the sliding effect from a note to another) is far from being the fastest nor the slowest but it's tuned just right so it carries this human voice feeling that might comfort you and remind you that this stage is a challenge that both You and Madeline are going to conquer! It's unbelievable! The overall musicality is crazy busy with chords and scales I haven't ever heard before. I'm learning about scales and proper chords progression after making music for 2 1/2 years where I only composed blindly. Without knowing what I was doing haha, recently discovered dominant 7th and 9th chords so I won't be able to tell you which note is which but ooh my does this mystery makes this song even better to me. But the part of the song that's stucked in my mind is the interlude where only the melody remains and the other instruments returns to complete the piece. It's somehow classic but important, it gives the player a sentiment of progression like on Celestial Resort where the theme during the big clean-up gradually completes itself each step further you make. Well that's a lot of words to say "Loved that song" yet I wanted to write something as big as I love it hahaha! Thank you, to the entire Celeste Team for making a game that really amazed me. I haven't had such thrills about a game in so long, thank you thank you thank you. ❤ And if you went through the hassle to read my low tier analyse well thank you too you're a really kind person and I reserved a part of strawberry pie for you! ❤🍓
Dude this is just like the music "run" in hotline Miami 2 where in the beginning you're like "eh I don't think I'm a fan of this music" but then seconds later you painted your house white because of how good the damn music sounds, I was bamboozled.
Lol you just said what was my mind. The first time I heard this song in game i got hotline miami feels and remembered "Run". The fact that you die over and over in this game and comes back in the same screen also helped.
This is the only thing that made this hell-ish B-Side worth the grind. The music is so serene and beautiful, it can literally bring you to tears. I cried on this B-Side, not because of rage, but because of the pure sensations that this phenomenal track gave me.
Um dos cenários mais infernais de Celeste sem dúvidas, mas cara essa ost não tem como, eu só consegui terminar esse cenário por conta dessa música, ela passa uma vibe tão calma ao contrário da fase que é apenas dor absoluta.
I love how these types of soundtracks can invoke such a powerful sense of nostalgia and serenity. Perfect accompaniment to the game itself and life in general.
I love this song so much because it makes you feel extremely calm but at the same time the first 5 seconds of the track make the upcoming level seem extremely intimidating. And I love it
This is supposed to be a calming track and keep you relaxed but I ended up going crazy over the level, punched a hole in a wall, pause the game and took a nap. Woke up at eleven at night, and finished it at 1:00 in the morning on the weekend. My final time was 10 hours.
Celeste is gonna be my workout mix at this rate, too much wholesomeness, it makes me wanna live and explore the possibility of this world, and I'm not the motivated type of person but it's so poetic and so vibrant I don't have the words to describe what it inspire me. I didn't even have time to play the game yet I'm so attached to it, thanks buddy for this masterpiece we really needed it.
This soundtrack in combination with the level is an entire antithesis On one side, a damn hard, time-consuming, nerve-wracking trial and error level, On the other side, relaxing, in-another-world-taking breathtakingly beautiful music
This song made 4B golden so much more enjoyable, the flow you're able to get into just going through the rooms with this song is in your ears is incredible
This song feels nostalgic to me, yet Is the first time experiencing this game for me. Can't even imagine how much nostalgic It will feel when i'll be older. This song Is really beautiful, and It makes It even better the fact that this Is even my favourite b-side so far. This game Is a masterpiece
This is probably my favourite Remix from the Game, wich I bought a Fee days ago and instantly Fell in Love with. I also instantly bought the Soundtrack,on Itunes and on Steam, and this is the first time I ever bought the Soundtrack,so props!!
this game actually helped me a TON with managing my emotions (especially my anger). so dying repeatedly while hearing this was such a blessing i’m so glad i was able to experience and enjoy
Okay but for real, this song snuck up on me so hard. I've heard it a million times and I absolutely love it (ILWAG is one of my favorite musicians). So hearing it suddenly while playing Celeste was enough to get me really emotional. ; v ; This song and the whole level are really special.
When I decided to watch the owl house, I ended up staying up all night to watch from the start to the end of season 2. When I finished it in the morning, I was pretty much emotionally broken lol, I didnt really do anything for the rest of the day. Later that day I was listening to some music and I thought it this, and when I listened to it I just let all of my emotions out, crying for a while and listening to the incredible music. Long story short, this song means a lot to me and it always makes me remember that moment and the emotions that came with it, most of them good :> Lena Raine is amazing. Also sorry if this doesn't really make sense or if it's like off topic or something this is just my experience with the song
This is my favorite track on the ost! It feels so nostalgic to me even though I only played the game recently Awesome track, love listening to it in the car or during other games!
Been playing Celeste for a couple of months now. Almost done with it all with Goldens. I will say this much.this song is my Ringtone and Alarm. Best song in the game for me. No doubt. Thanks for making such a legendary song.
Breath Slowly, in & Out Let The Music Take Over Remember All Those Fun Times as a Kid The Laughs and Memories Look Outside Fromm Your Apartment Room Look Over The Calm City & Its Amazing Lights Now Look Up, At The Sunset Morning Over You With Joy And Content Feel The Waves of Orange, Pink & Purple Relax, Your Happy With Yourself Your in Love With a Ghost
This song is so good that i put it on while having horrible tooth pain and i fell asleep. I saw someone say the b sides were surgical operations and this was anesthesia and I can confirm that is true
I would like to thank Celeste Developers, Lena Rain and ILWAG for making this song soothing instead of instense/upbeat, if that happened i would be writing this in a psych ward
I am slowly starting to like this song a lot, like, it goes so the other way comparing it to the other B-side songs, who are like "hey, you like challenges? This one is going to be tough". They are searching epicness, but this one is so relaxing, it is like "take a deep breath and enjoy the challenge", which Seems more like the Celeste message. Very good job with this song...
I have been on this level for 2 days straight and I still can’t get enough of the song. It almost sounds like it would be in the background of an edit of some guy saying “I have no enemies”
