Rather than talk about "millibits" why not talk about kilosats, megasats, gigasats. 1 bitcoin would be 100 megasats, or equivalently 0.1 gigasat

I still don't get it why BTC exchange rate in INR is higher than in USD. Can't they exchange the INR to USD as soon as they receive it? I've never been to India but I imagine you can go to any bank and exchange rupees for USD. I would understand a 1-2% variation because of conversion fees but not 20%. Can someone explain this in more detail?
@user-ci7rk1ll2j
@user-ci7rk1ll2j 3 года назад
You *cannot* freely exchange INR to USD. The government does allow exchange but there is plenty of paperwork required and has certain limits - not sure what the current limits are. If you want to convert your USD to INR you are welcome, but the other way round - not so quick buddy. When bitcoin becomes widely adopted as *insert whatever your use-case is* folks from India are going to suffer because people couldn't buy BTC when the prices were low :( Hope RBI is buying BTC secretly (unlikely), publicly they are hoarding USD.

@@octavianfx7874 I used to do sales for a foreign company in India and getting them to pay is USD was a nightmare. My real interest in BTC is actually the ability to exchange value without borders just like we communicate without even thinking about where the other person is.

When renewing CBP. you have to retake the exam again? I just noticed CBP is 6 months outside of 2 year. Paid renewal fee. Have to retake test?
@LearnMorewithC4
@LearnMorewithC4 3 года назад
The renewal process has two parts: Pay the renewal fee Take and pass the latest version of the CBP exam Once both parts are complete, your CBP will be renewed for another two years. Bitcoin changes fast, and a lot can change in 2 years. For this reason, we require all renewals to pass the latest version of the CBP exam to demonstrate that they have kept up to date with Bitcoin. Thankfully the exam is only 20m long, so it’s a quick and painless process for those who have the knowledge.

Andreas wouldn't it be better to price bitcoin by actual trading on the blockchain as it records every trade and has the best idea of the volume of real trades and what people are willing to pay (not futures etc that may be issued by other major players and exchanges). It just seems to be self destructive to have bitcoin's value decided by governments that can print fiat and therefore buy as much bitcoin as they like and artificially make demand where there really isn't any and visa versa.
