The tour starts off at Clarkson University’s Admissions office, Holcroft House. Then moving on to our on-campus residence halls, David shares with you details about living at Clarkson.
Academic Buildings:
BH Snell Hall: Home to our Humanities, Communication, Media & Design, Engineering and Management, and Business (undergraduate and graduate) programs.
Science Center: Home to undergraduate and graduate programs in Chemistry, Biomolecular Science, Computer Science, Data Science, and Mathematics.
CAMP (Center for Advanced Materials Processing) & Rowley Lab: Our 9 undergraduate engineering programs, as well as our engineering Master’s and Ph.D. programs, are centered here. CAMP is comprised of research labs and centers, classrooms, SPEED (undergraduate engineering design competition teams like Baja, Formula SAE and FIRST Robotics) labs, and a Student Machine Shop and Research Prototyping Lab.
Clarkson Hall: Houses our 3 graduate health science programs: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies. Inside you can view the Simulation Lab, Cadaver Lab, Health Sciences Library, and more.
Student Life Areas:
Student Center: This centrally-located building features the Forum, a prime spot on campus for student-centric events like Spirit Week and Open Houses. Also located here are the Diversity & Inclusion Lounge, CUSA (student body government) offices, multipurpose rooms, the mailroom, and the Student Center Survey dining location.
ERC (Schuler Educational Resource Center): Here you can find many of our student support and success services, including Career Center, International Center, Clarkson Student Health and Counseling Centers, Library, Campus Safety and Security. The ERC is also home to the new Innovation Hub, complete with Ignite Makerspace, group meeting rooms, digital making spaces and more.
TAC (Technology Advancement Center): Located in TAC is our ISE - Institute for a Sustainable Environment - which leads our sustainability efforts across the whole campus, as well as our Division of Research and classroom and study spaces.
Cheel Campus Center: The home to our Clarkson Golden Knights Division I Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams, this recently renovated building also now boasts a brand new fitness center for students and a new climbing wall. Additional fitness facilities for students and our 18 Division III varsity athletic teams can be found at the Schuler Indoor Recreation Center next door (field house, gymnasium, pool and fitness center).
