ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2023 PROMO. For the context ICC has released the official promo for the ICC CWC2023 to be played later this year in India. The promo was supposed to be a neutral one as it is the promo for the WORLD CUP and not for the PAYTM SERIES or a Bollywood movie. This clips of Pakistan in this promo: - Muhammad Amir getting bowled - Wahab Riaz getting disappointed - Rohit Sharma hitting Shadab for a six - A disappointed Pakistani fan being consoled by an Indian fan after the defeat in the name of "RESPECT". We all know BCCI has influence over the ICC but Pakistan literally have the World Number One batter in the very format ruling the rankings for over two and a half years now, along with two other batters among the top 5. Pakistan is the number 2 ranked team in the world. This is an utter disrespect to the champions of 1992 World Cup!! They talk about grace when the only thing they know about is, being disgraceful.
I understand this CWC will be held in India and giving some importance to our players is okay, but at the same time, the video should have portrayed our rivals who are in excellent forms in ODI. There should have been a clip of Babar Azam, Josh Hazelwood, and Shakib Al Hasan, as they are number 1 player in batting, bowling and all rounding performance respectively. All the countries who won CWC, their clips should have been there. I mean for God sake, Australia won way huge number of times than any other nation. At least showcasing them a bit long would have been justified too. Showcasing records made by non-test playing countries in ODIs could have added more color to this promo. In my opinion, this promo should be remade and with respect to all the countries, the superstars, and of course the legends.
@@youngswami The issue is, cricket is being politicized in almost all countries, not just only India. The prime examples are West Indies, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, South Africa; however, India mostly comes to notice of people because of the huge revenue generator it has become and the biggest cricketing nation than any other country. Hope people learn to respect the game rather than politicizing about it.

The promo is partial. No justic has been done with Pakistan. Babar Azam, world's no1 batsman is missing here. There is a scene from 1992 WC where Inzimam ul Haq's run out has been show altgough Pakistan won that WC. The rest of the scenes related to Pakistan's team are also shown as disappointing. The last cricket world cup played between New Zealand and England was, even after a super over, still a tie. A shared world cup in 2019 would have been a great result for cricket rather than some weird technicality which created a dishonest outcome. I always smile when England talk about the spirit of cricket. The resulting tie will always be a tie in the scorecard of history.

In all the cricket stadiums played, the hoarding read across stadium "IT TAKES ONE DAY". Indian cricketers probably mistook this saying and took ONE DAY to lose the final match, after winning 10 consecutive matches. Also the Officials and curaters responsible for preparing such bad pitch should be banned and termminated. Pitch should be fair to both teams, not behaving like a mad person.
