i lost a daughter on the 11th night and now travel over to this bonfire to celebrate her life and for the glorious 12th. past few years been going to them and they are amazing . love it guys stay safe and keep on building.
From Northern ireland myself and love the 11th and 12th but if im being honest im not agreeing to this cross community malarky. The 11th is our night and its always been. We have our flags and they have theirs. We have our bands and they have theirs. If we keep this cross community crap up then a united ireland will just get closer and next thing their wont be a 12th
@@Bludandthunder honestly I'm actually so annoyed at how craigyhill has turned out. It used to be a proper strong hold for loyalism years ago and now it turned 180 and diverted towards bringing nationalists to a unionist area to watch a bonfire to celebrate the battle of the boyne like what is going on seriously. I love my culture and my country but I 100% want nothing to do with cross community and therefore won't be back to watch the craigyhill bonfire again. I'm proud to fly the union jack but looks like the union jacks in craigyhill are far and few between Thats like unionists going to a bonfire on the bogside to mark the catholic feast of the assumption. It just wouldn't happen so why let them come to ours
@@foxylad1530 I understand how you feel as the cross community aspects tend to be one sided. But comparing PUL culture and bonfires to anything that happens in the Bogside is irrelevant as they just aren’t the same in anyway. As I’m sure you agree, whilst I don’t believe there is any need to dilute the culture of PUL or sanitise it. I do think burning flags and election posters is outdated. Hate won’t win the culture war, tolerance will. People are no less British by taking down foreign flags from bonfires. Blud and thunder was created to promote those ideas elevating the culture beyond the usual propaganda against PUL. We want to build beyond the religious divide.
@@Bludandthunder we can agree to disagree I had to edit my last message as I said ballycraigy instead of saying craigyhill, my bad Anyways I look forward to watching the documentary Cheers
Build houses not bonfires every year there's no housing on that site is another year the community is left behind.....but great effort lads and ladies 💪🏻🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
