It was at this moment, looking back, that I realize where Aubrey and Andreas friendship started to part ways. And Aubrey gave hints the previous season when they broke down and said “even though you’re my complete opposite, you really are my best friend.” I still believe they were genuine besties during the 1st 2 seasons but I think it was only held together by the fact that they were in competition with everyone else since they were the originals. Once they made the group and were able to just be them, naturally their personalities pushed them apart. It happens. Sad.
Yeah I totally agree. I also feel like Aubrey thought she was going to the the STAR of the group because she did so well during the competition and was everyone’s fav, And while yes she was beautiful and could dance when it came to the vocals Aundrea totally stepped up and crushed the vocals on their first album and that’s where Aubrey lacked. So I think it caused HUGEEEE resentment and drove a wedge between them
I don’t feel like their friendship necessarily parted. It was more so that now they were in the group and no longer in competition with 17 other girls, so they got closer to the other girls as well.
@@amariahlovelace5113 i totally agree. Andrea said it, they had to learn each other's personalities and actually just get to know each other period. When you get to know other people, it stops being an us versus them kind of thing. But at the end of the day, i think all them should be thought of as coworkers rather than friends.
I lowkey felt bad for Dawn here. Nobody warned her that the first time she went back home would be on camera. I thought that that was very insensitive of them knowing that Hurricane Katrina had happened. I guess it was the easiest way to have built-in drama, but still.
It's so funny that when you put girl groups together the first few months are always where the drama is, the fighting, bitching, jealousy etc. Even Diddy said he wants to make sure they can get along, but with these five girls they just seemed to bond and gel with each other straight away. All the nastiness seemed to materialise much later on when they were well established. Odd how they lost that sisterhood.
Sadly that’s the music industry. They needed a good contract and a lawyer but signing on this tv show was probably a huge gamble. Regardless, they’re not exactly irrelevant because I know they had a huge fan base and people still listen to their songs
