The Bad Apple recreation blows my mind. It started really early on and remained basically grief-free. Mad respect. All while Canada struggles to draw their own bloody leaf next to it.
I didn't participate this time, but last time we tried the animation there were lots of griefers. We just teamed up with a few other groups and beat the griefers out
From what I read. One of the flag was a decoy and it was the one in the German section. The one next to bad apple was the real deal. And thanks to the Touhou community's help, Canada got their flag finish.
A CEO who doesn't like its product really is something that shouldn't be. I imagine to become CEO of Reddit you are at least more inclined towards the product and also want to post sometimes on there? After all, you're working at it every day. And now he can't anymore, since everytime he is only faced with hate. That's at least a change. But it seems like they really don't care. I can't imagine how someone can lead a company without caring about its product and community.
Well most had very coordinated strats and had a lot of people, i mean 9 thousand people just to defend it is a bit insane. Imagine if canada had that power 💀 they could keep the leaf up for multiple hours, days even
Proud of everyone of y'all who helped the PlaceEU project! 💛🇪🇺 Also much Love to our Australian and German allies who helped us realize our project 🇪🇺🍻🇩🇪 🇪🇺🤝🇦🇺
I don't really think that most employees care about Spez at all. The people who uploaded this is probably living the time of their employment at reddit.
@@feedmewithhate Ah that I know, some other people said that too..., I did see a post about this before his community claimed it was his idea. But I was hoping to see if this person knew who originally had this idea
I love how barely anyone touched the technoblade memorial just off pure respect for the guy. It shows how much the internet has grew as a community (besides the among us grief, but it hardly affected the memorial) o7 king
Thanks rubius and bratishkin for such a great ending… Ps: who don’t know, bratishkin(Russian streamer) together with rubius(Spanish streamer) decided to end this pb, they gathered people and destroyed their own arts( Germany, France, turkey and others destroyed their arts too), and then Reddit admins saw it, they decided to end pb)) Ps2:Idei of making huge “F SPEZ” sight was also belonged to bratishkin))
this r/place was made in such bad faith, to cover up the reddit hate and protests and not honoring the gap between the first two and not happening on april fools. i also hope the next one happens after like 5 years like the first two
2:26 I don't see anyone talking about this. When Xqc tried to void out the center of the map and basically everyone came to help contain that. Honestly that was amazing.
Im happy just because i was the one who put a dot after Canada (CANADA.) and after defending that dot, eventually it become an exclamation symbol (!) It kept that way until the end. yay
@@hazaldag5205 It's likely that the people who were overtaking the Technoblade Tribute didn't understand the full meaning behind it. It insulted a German r/place streamer and he asked his viewers to overtake Turkiye. I don't really care about any of it and I just found it funny.
@@dsfsfdsfdsfdfsd7245it’s not cope, most of the center pixels had no usernames on them, which only happens if a pixel is placed by admin tools. There is proof.
I'm so glad to see my autism creature on the first 8 seconds just above the Hololive logo. I started making him alone but random people came to help me and we all managed to protect him for 5 hours straight. Thank you everyone, that was very fun!! :)
My favorite thing about this whole shindig is the fact that there is a general respect to not mess with stuff that looks genuinely cool, like for example pretty much no one messed with the technoblade thing at all
_Reddit, thinking that bringing r/place back will reduce the damage they put on themselves by ripping away API access end up shooting themselves in the foot as the larger majority of people are against the change, still are, and won't just simply forget about it._
Wow I was so impressed with the bad apple animation! They took it to a whole another level. Also I can't stop thinking how magnificent the technoblade art was! Love it. Every art was just great! When a lot of great communities group together they can make some insanely good things...
@@exoplace no. we had a whole discord dedicated to the bad apple video, and it is the same discord that did the touhou stuff in 2022. it wasn't just a german youtuber, we had a whole community of touhou fans who had been planning it in advance before the event even started
Highlights: - bad apple - return of the Void Monsters (aka eldritch horror pixel art emerging from random noise) - Canada finally draws a leaf - Respectful criticism /s
Genshin being attacked till the very end: NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT?? Bad apple: *does cool animation Canada flag: f*ck the leaf just draw a banana bruv
New Zealand ambassador here, It was a pleasure working with all of you! This was also my first year of r/place, and it's easy to say I had a blast! :) (To all of my kiwis and aussies reading this, you guys did absoltuely fantastic!
Hey from Bluey! We didnt work together directly, but coming from a lower level placer, I can say the entire team was super greatful to be working with all of you! We appreciated all your work!
Literally piece of art, you can pause it like every 5-10 seconds and it will be like completely new works here, there literally hundreds of references to different games. To people who only comments black apple, please, watch other works as well, it's great work of course, but it's a bit annoying, it's like when everyone discussing only over one small piece of art, ignoring full picture. Anyways, great work, I really wasn't expecting see some things here, like fox hole for example.
As much as everyone hates Reddits business decisions as of late, and even with the massive botting issues plagueing the canvas, I still love r/place as a concept so much I'm glad they brought this back again! I also respect them for not cutting the whiteout lol
Canada: couldn't make their own leaf for days Also Canada: attacks touhou community who were perfectly animating the entirety of Bad Apple and takes away Reimu for no reason
I'm proud of y'all Touhou fans for doing the Bad Apple song. Isn't a Touhou fan myself but I knew about the meme and contributed a few pixels towards the animation. I apologize to communities affected by the sudden expansion of our big Vietnamese flag in the right side. It wasn't our intention, just some people's idiotic behavior. I helped repair Slifer and DDLC Lastly I'm proud of the Ukrainian flag, Canada flag with the maple leaf and all the little communities. You all done great
Thank you for your cooperation, we were pleased, our dog and your art will go down in history as the best art of this pixel battle Gracias por su cooperación, nos complació, nuestro perro y su arte pasarán a la historia como el mejor arte de esta batalla de píxeles.
Maybe for the wrong reasons for me since I was on Genshin's side, but I guess it was good for the UGA to have a clearly-defined archenemy for us to rally against. 😅
Here from the Bluey community Our alliance didn’t let us use bots so we had to defend manually We lasted the full 6 days with being attacked by a dragon made by streamers, the taskbar, and a bot attack, but couldn’t get all the full details. We also had the idea to turn Bluey and Bingo into grayscale. You can see us near both American flags, in the K of the friendly message on the right, and the taskbar. Taskbar Heeler is lookin a little wonky tho so
France community:the flag is done!! Touhuo community:the animation is gonna end... Moroco community:we draw our flag with our land Canada community:we are finally done Germany: *SPAM*
As a UGA member, screw Bratishkinoff for attacking the Genshin mural so many times we started losing our sanity. ...But as a Terraria community member, I thank him for sparing the memorial to Leinfors. Also I hope that in future canvases he can recognize that he doesn't need to blank out all the space around his art - it'd still be just as recognizable with a bunch of smaller pieces surrounding it.
@@sodaponeBratishkin started a war with Genshin's art because their community started insulting his audience and massively throwing reports on their accounts, to which bratishkin replied that he would not tolerate it and made a big attack on genshin's art. By the way, bratishkin was a sponsor of genshin on ru twitch
That ending really summed up the whole thing. This year's event is now a part of history, just like the one held last year. It was nice to witness everything take place. My personal favorite pieces on the canvas were the OMORI picnic [and it’s crossover with Yume Nikki], also the Bad Apple !! animation, both of which I helped with :>
