Hello from Slovakia once Czechoslovakia. Tatra are Czech cars that have been produced since the time of Czechoslovakia and are used in the Czech Republic in Slovakia and around the world.

Looks aggressive but it seems to spend a lot of time farting and belching. Wonder how it rides down the road and do they use it only for woodland type fires or as a Tanker as well? As to the Made in America clause is if one equal to it were made in America so you have to settle for the cab and chassis from someplace else and the tank pump and body components made or assembled in America seems to have a modified cab from those normally on it since it was produced in the Czech Republic.
I can say that the engines (Cummins) and transmission (Allison) US version has is not something that is installed into our firetrucks in Europe. Our trucks have Tatra made air cooled engines and manual or semi-automatic transmissions. You can have Cummins engines and Alisson transmission here, but as an special request.
