Ofra Haza participated in a special episode for Purim in 1987 on the program "Zehu Ze!", (Hebrew: זהו זה!, lit. This Is It!) called "Ha’achim Boz" („The Boz Brothers”; a parody of the Blues Brothers). The show originally ran from 1978 to 1998, and was revived in 2020 by the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. It is a youth program composed of several comedy segments. The original presenters were Moni Moshonov, Shlomo Baraba and Dalik Volinitz.
Ofra took part in numerous children’s programs and educational shows, thus supporting and raising awareness for the importance of education and learning their people’s traditions.
Purim (lit. „lots”) is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from annihilation at the hands of an official of the Achaemenid Empire, named Haman. He was the royal vizier to the Persian king Artaxerxes (Xerxes I). His plans were foiled by Mordecai of the tribe of Benjamin, and Esther, Mordecai's cousin and adopted daughter, who had become the queen of Persia after her marriage to Artaxerxes. The day of deliverance became a day of feasting and rejoicing among Jews.
