I think my time playing Jailbreak has come to and end. I stopped playing in 2020 but I enjoyed every second of OG Jailbreak I could but now that it's gone forever I don't see a point in playing something that isn't as good as it used to be anymore.

You’re really the only one who truly understands why old Jailbreak works and why new Jailbreak has its benefits, but lacks the charm of 2017-2020 Jailbreak. After the 2020 winter update, (which I got the beam hybrid and later traded it with half my inventory for a Torpedo lol), it feels like Jailbreak updates just followed a checklist, and as so many other Roblox games tried to evolve and adapt with the times, (updating the game with new content but not making it unrecognizable) Badimo seemed like they were ready to move on from Jailbreak. The 2024 live event was awesome, and to me, when the 2019 Jailbreak recreation by them was removed, it seems like Jailbreak is kind of just dead at the moment.

But when I logged into OG Jailbreak when it was still there, I got so much nostalgia and it just gave the Jailbreak vibe and it actually does feel like Cops vs Robbers like it's supposed to. what i think will happen is that they will bring back og jailbreak sometimes. they see that people made progress on the game, and just removing it got people pretty mad. edit: im not gonna quit the game YET. the game has so much potential, so i will def stick around. they might even do a decent update in june, like revamping cargo plane. also the fact that jailbreak has been averaging 20k for 2 years, (yes exactly 2 years now), i dont think it will die out. during summer it will probably still reach 25,000 players, we will have to see the next school year though.

I think if Badimo focused on more cops and robbers instead of trading and other random crap, crew battles is useless, trading takes away the point of money and hyper chromes are VERY GOOD for endgame but that’s what grinding is for, is Asimo just added updates that don’t look the same as OG, but instead feel jailbreak, add the updates they would have added back then but with a modern twist and feel.

Badimo's problem is lack of developers If they expand the team in 2024, ready for 2025, boy will they be able to pump outs massive updatesbfor Jailbreak and their other games at the time More devs means there can be proper car models that aren't over the top community made ones. More content that isn't over the top vehicles.

I miss the og game

Honestly I stopped playing jailbreak because the game didn't even feel like a challenge. All you literally have to do I just keep robbing places until you have enough cash for a vehicle. Jailbreak streamers would just constantly keep grinding in private servers. If you arrest, then you get banned from the server. This kinda ruined the point of the game. The point of the game is to try to escape prison and then start robbing places while getting chased by cops. Now it's just people getting free cash easily by grinding in private servers. The game has no challenge. Just a grindy vehicle game.

This is an example of holding onto your nostalga, Neatzo does have some points where the UI and the lighting don't look like JB but things like that will have to be changed anyway, cause seeing something new and fresh will interest people compared to seeing the same old things every time you log into a game. Neatzo does truly live in the past compared to how much he claims that 2024 JB is better and all to make him not look like a bommer. Still, him putting up OG clips every video and the sad music, perhaps Badimo actually updating the game over the years is what keeps the player base interested to keep playing cause otherwise they would get bored of no new changes or anything. If JB is gonna die now, It's possible, the game has been putting out bangers for 7 years lol. Last thing, keeping 2 different versions of a game is not beneficial really, I do love the 2019 lighting but that game is super bad statistically compared to modern JB, It lacks a lot of features that makes arresting and robbing fun and bearable in 2019 and etc, keeping a side of the community that dwells on the past and a present day one is a toxic drawback to the devs and the experience in general. Note, I'm not saying arresting is perfect today lol, and btw 2024 JB is more fun to play than OG JB.

After playing both versions current jb is definitely better but it lacks so much og jb had. current jb lost the unique art style that og jb had and it is way too bright and cartoony. they should lean more into realism than cartoony cuz thats why jb doesnt feel the same anymore and looks like the average simulator now.

It's sad that such a masterpiece of a game like Jailbreak is not that popular anymore, while a pointless murder game like MM2 is. Yes, Jailbreak becomes repetitive for some time and people will quit it eventually, but if it had the Jailbreak feeling, it wouldn't die and it would last many years like Work At A Pizza Place or Natural Disaster Survival.
