I'd probably wait to see what PixelFX has to offer with their Retro GEM before you make a decision.

Is this with a standard HDD, no IDE to SATA board? I was able to speed up the boot times with an IDE to SATA board, but I would stay away from the cheap ones. Most likely the slow speeds are due to the patching of the dash and the HDMI handshake, but I would just be guessing.

​@@RetroRenegadeRepairs I'm using an 80pin and a sata adapter for the ide. The most interesting thing is that in versions 1.2 and 1.4 it loads normally, and in 1.6 you need to wait 30 seconds before the animation appears. Xenium on 1.6 refuses to work, I had to sew Aladdin on the patched Evox. Xenium installation was done using github, switched D0 on the chip and on the LPC closed to GRD, but refuses to work. I've read that it seems necessary to flash the blue version and then install the fixed one from MakeHZ for HDPlus, but pishitu seems to fix the bug, but they say it's inaccurate. Stellar on 80pin and on my ATA100\133 adapter, a 2 TB disk loads in 5 seconds

​@@RetroRenegadeRepairsfigured it out))). I installed the chip on 1.4 and updated it to 2.3.5 from makehz. then I set it to 1.6, closed D0 and the chip started working))) but loading the BIOS is still delayed by 30 seconds. somewhere you need to find startech sata to ide and install ssd

Should be quick if you are using a startech sata to ide and patched for udma5

@@RetroRenegadeRepairs If you install Stellar, it loads instantly. It's not the cable and the sata to ide adapter. it's a bios issue. they say titanium needs to be installed and hard formated in fatx 3.0 marked titan
