I love that you can put Scripture back in, but miss the background color changes with the month that the OG has…also my price jumped up to $81 and it’s a struggle to get it down…Need a more itemized way to see the add-one all at once perhaps. Thanks for the comparison! Might customize next year. I already brought the OG and “respiraled” it down to just one semester and holiday pages.

That’s a great idea to uncoil it and remove the extras, I’m always afraid of it not looking the same if I uncoil it. But you just gave me an idea! I prefer the OG too, for the small things, colors changing, the codes every month being right on there, the contrast etc, but I do love the extra pages I added with the custom. Maybe I’ll be brave and combine them…hmm 🤔 You gave me something to think about. I did provide feedback that I would love to see the price change as I was building it and have it keep the count for me 😆 I lost count at first too and was up in the 80s, but was able to bring it down. I prefer the OG as well! It's kind of funny that the custom one with fewer pages is actually much more expensive. I was really excited to order the custom planner when it came out. However I was very disappointed. The website interface is really difficult to use, and worst of all doesn't show the price as you build. I built and rebuilt so many times to get the planner down to a price I thought was reasonable. Then came the waiting. And waiting and waiting. It took them almost 8 weeks to ship! When I finally received my planner 2 months after ordering I was again disappointed. The cover seemed thinner than the "OG version" and the spiral seemed flimsier. All the monthly layout pages were the same color (before they matched the rest of the color of that particular month.) I purchased mine shortly after they were released, so it looks like I missed out on some additional colors and layouts . For me, the custom planner wasn't worth the extra cost and time. I ended up purchasing another homeschool planner for this year and will probably go back to the OG if I buy a WPG homeschool planner.

They have made improvements since for sure, we probably ordered around the same time, because I know exactly what you are talking about and I didn’t have all the options I showed on this video either. I’ve had this planner on hand for awhile now. It’s much easier to order now, I think they had a lot of glitches to work out initially and the production time for mine was 8 weeks too. Now it’s down to half. I do hope they make the adjustments recommended, as you stated as well. Seeing the price adjust as you go, would be a huge help. The cover is thinner as I said in the video, but the paper is thicker (slightly). Custom will always cost more, but it is funny that after all that, I came to the conclusion that I prefer the OG. Maybe we are just attached to certain elements too. Definitely reach out if you haven’t and provide your feedback. I’ve found them over the years to be very receptive in taking care of their customers. Hope you found a good match for this year! That’s why I love showing different planner options to hopefully help folks find what calls them ♥️

@@Arleneandcompany I really do appreciate all your flip throughs and thoughts. Most of the time they help me decide between things but sometimes they convince me to get something I hadn't even planned on getting. Haha. So hard to decide on just one planner! I do wish I had waited until WPG worked out some of the kinks. I was just so excited about a custom planner. Lesson learned!

@@heidig8739 thank you for watching, I appreciate you! And definitely, I’m here for the window shopping experience 😆 Either you run to get it or say nah! I was definitely expecting to like the custom more, but as I mentioned in the video, I had similar takes as you. I like the months changing colors, I prefer darker contrast and bigger coils. And the cover was the first thing I noticed too. But the process seems much easier now for those ordering now. We just got in at the beginning of it 😆 Still love that they have this option for the right family. But I guess I’m just an OG girl. I do want to take some of pages from the custom and add it to the OG . The comment below mentioned uncoiling and it gave me that idea 💡
