The nice thing about the Nunu combo is that if you discarded a reptile with a different name for Zohah you'll have 4 reptiles with different names in your graveyard, plus the one you send with Water Lily, so you can revive one for free. So you can send Aron, revive Zoha, tribute Nihil and Zohah, special summon Aron, trigger the effect of Zohah, cicle for something like Ogdoabyss and hand rip your opponent for 1, and you still get to make a rank 8. Really good video.
I'm working on a vennominaga turbo deck that uses a modified version of the first combo you discussed. I can use some help theory crafting the deck mind helping? The deck works by turboing out vennominon king by any means necessary and getting the card "Trap Tracks" on board. Trap tracks allows you to pop a card and search a trap and you can activate that trap the turn it was set. It's basically a single card that can both search out rise of the snake deity and fulfill its activation conditions in a single chain. Summoning vennominon is simple enough but trap tracks is a unsearchable 3 of so its not reliable enough. To get around that, I discovered a stupid convoluted yet relatively consistent draw engine that let's me search 5 then draw 5, and hopefully 1 of those 5 draws is trap tracks. Basically you get a level 8 ogdatic on board along with a level 4, and reptilliane coatl. So long as you can get that (which isn't THAT hard) you can combo off. Synchro coatl with the level 4 for a level 8 synchro tuner then tune that with the level 8 ogdatic for Bishbalken. Summon 10 tokens to both fields and link off a token and bish for Reproducus. Reprodocus effect to make a token a reptile and link off for Reptilliane Echidna. Activate effect, because your opponent has 5 tokens with 0 attack you can search 5 reptile monsters. Search a 2nd reptilliane coatl and special summon it for free using its effect (echidna is a dark reptile so it can summon itself straight from hand). Tune it with 2 tokens to summon reptilliane hydra which nukes the opponents tokens and let's you draw 5. The issue with the combo is that a draw 5 is not enough. Both Bish and Hydra are soft OPT meaning they can be looped, however, echidna locks you into reptiles so you can't summon Bish again if you summon Echidna. Solution I think is to find a way to rework the combo to be able to loop Bush and hydra off the same starting conditions even if you can only loop it once (meaning a draw 10 and search 5). This would significantly boost the efficiency and consistency of the deck. Any ideas?
While not on the same level as the meta,I argue this deck IS playable. It just requires careful planning and an understanding of its strengths and weaknesses. Check out my lists for some playable builds!
So, I made a version of this deck, but it synergizes with Evol and Therions; I just call it Ogdoatic Therion but It can put up a board of like 4+ negates. It's really good you should look into it. Evoltile Najasho combocs eith the level 8.
My next profile is very similar! Great minds think alike 😂there is also an older short on my channel talking excitedly about the newest evol stuff. New deck profile coming very soon so stay tuned!
@@Dehalove Yeah I had seen in one of your old shorts where you talk about Lios and it send Mic. and you can use arch (Blinged out Alligator) to pop lios and search Nunu or Nauya. One of my fav decks!
*ahem* Snake Rain send exactly Nunu, Keurse, Ogdoabyss, and either Flogos or Zohah. Use Flogos/Zohah to go back to hand. Special Nunu, or Normal Flogos/Zohah, then summon the other. Keurse tribute Flogos/Zohah to special itself, then using Keurse’s effect to get the Flogos/Zohah back to your field. Ogdoabyss comes out for 3 material.
Yeah that's not bad, but it is too resource intensive. That takes up the normal summon and Ogdoabyss is pretty unsynergetic with other monsters. I will always prefer setting up rank 8 plays with snake rain
Little nitpick, but you talked about Amunessia's send effect incorrectly. It can send any "card" your opponent controls to the GY, not just monsters, so there are times you will use it to answer backrow. Also you said it only triggers if a monster is Special Summoned from their GY "to their field". That last line is not on Amunessia, which means you can Special Summon from their GY to your field with Ogdoadic Hollow (not a great card to do it with) or Dharc/Lyna, to trigger Amunessia's effect. Otherwise pretty good video though I liked it.
Yes another person pointed out the monster vs card thing. I also misspoke on the "their field" part. I don't usually play her so I guess I should have reread her a few more times. That being said, my points about her application still stand and I appreciate the comment!
One question: is it a requirement to have at least 4 reptiles in the grave to activate to use the lily? I'm not checking using rules for TCG, OCG, MD, Nexus nor Omega. I'm checking for real life play and judge rulings.
1. Do you have a deck list for ogdo+invoked :o, 2. would love to see you do a prospective deck list considering the new support. 3. How is duality and lights shadow with ogdo decks? Sorry for the flurry of questions. Just was curious and you seem like the ogdo expert that is worth asking them to :p
I do! I just did well with an Invoked Lair build so expect a video soon. I haven't tested duality or shadows light but my initial thoughts are that shadows is bad in this deck since you already fetch and summon the cards you need and I dislike the battle phase lock in a grinder deck that goes to higher turn counts. I haven't tested the new support much because my focus has been on current lists
We built a solid Vennominaga list on stream if you are interested! It relies on a strong ogdoadic line with the Vennominaga stuff thrown in as a small engine
@@Dehalove post AGOV I’m fully comfortable playing a midrange build with both royals, only thing I’m off about is actually if Neferabyss is even worth it at 1 copy but I’m on a therion build with Aratama and Sakitama for the one card King of the Feral Imps (sakitama also has a convenient effect to add a spirit back from grave if it’s tributed)
I feel the same way about Neferabyss. I honestly don't think I like the card even though it can potentially generate a ton of value for you. The lock just goes against the mixer builds I like. I hadn't tried the spirit boys!
Wish they would get more win conditions. Especially would love them to be an xyz archtype that tributes opponent’s reaources! They could use a rank 4 adn 8 xyz. Plus a rank 10 that can be overlayed on top of a rank 4 or 8 But again konami not giving meta relevance to them.
I haven't tested it a ton but I personally dislike it. My favorite Ogdoadic monsters are Keurse and Aleirtt, and both require setup that Shadow doesn't guarantee. I prefer starting with Nunu or Nauya as either one secures an extra deck summon on their own, but I'm always looking to test different things!
I've been tinkering with Infernoid Lair recently and I'm eyeing this archetype with its synergy with Lair going second. It's just that it's too damn expensive to make, haha! Sucks that Snake Rain is on another pack.
