I’m playing Dragunity alongside Horus, pretty solid with monster negation and thanks to harbinger even s/t negation. Fill the Gy is important for both archetypes and Zombie Vampire boosts it
Your insights really helped me out. I am doing a unique duel that will chain into the Anime Effects (ish, they never fully defined them) God Cards. I was looking for a nice themed engine and these are EXACTLY the cards I need for the tibutes.
I want to add Galaxy-Eyes to the list. You don't even need to play the Galaxy-Eyes engine if you don't want to. You can simply use the Horus engine to go into Number 62 and C62, Full Armor Photon, Draglubion, Hope Harbinger and more. 🙂

i think its worth pointing out Egyptian god cards work phenominal in this deck,ESPECIALLY slifer. if you combine it with stuff like advance draw and trade-in to beef up your hand and send more horus to the grave then you can have a very powerul defences with slifers second mouth effect. not only that this archtype DOES support horus the black flame dragon,its new field spell can search them and canopic can special summon level 6 and sarcophagus can protect lv 8. other good tech cards for a pinch dark hole-since your horus monsters cant be destroyed by bordwipes that will make your own monster boardwipes one sided Gaurdian Treasure - dump several of your horus cards (and canopic if you have to) at once then get an extra draw every turn any useful trap that discards as cost- run a divine wrath and kill two birds with one stone Apoloosa bow of the godess- do i really need to explain why? Skull dread- again speaks for its self and if your playing traditional or a an older format that where it isnt banned,card of safe return is one of the most busted cards to have in this deck.
Ogdoadic makes good use of Horus. Horus engine can get rid of the dead bricks while reptile pile has level 8 extenders themselves alongside synchro options, and the deck itself having lots of gy recursion.
@@MattOsheaYGO yeah only downside, but still could be useful for the 8s and just more board presence; as well as cards like grapha which just kinda need to be in the grave, don’t need the discard effect
Another Counter I found that I don’t think you mentioned is Necrovalley- as Necrovalley shuts down any effects that tamper with the position of cards in the graveyard, rendering King’s Sarcophagus useless.
@@MattOsheaYGO The Snakeeyes Stiff Themself is super cheap. 30-35€. Diabelle and the Wanted i actually found a bit clunky and not worth the 7 Slots it occupies. Also makes you ACTUALLY lose to Droll. She only exists to search the One for One type of card. The interupts she can grab are nice but only turn 1. Also they require her to be left on field so you cant even use her for Snakeeyes eff to get more from deck and she occupies more space that vould be used for small bodies to Link summon shit. Going Second she just sucks ass Also at current Price point she is literally not worth the trouble.
Matt question regarding this deck, I play zarc so lets say they have KS on field with all the demi gods on the monster zone, could KS save them from ZARC effect activation on special summon? Or does KS can’t because it blows up from the rest of the field unable to trigger its effect to protect the demi gods?
I don’t think they are supposed to be linked or xyzed off I think if you just have all of them on the board together with sarcophagus they are pretty untouchable and can just overpower most boards without negates
@@ThangaLang94 lol, sure! So, there are a ton of rank 8s that have a huge amount of utility. Imagine protecting your combo from Nibiru with Galaxy Eyes Photon Lord, or getting monsters in the GY with Zombie Vampire. That alone is going to have a lot of application to extend your plays. Having the Horus monsters on field is likely less valuable than the negates + the rest of your deck's end board
@@MattOsheaYGO but say you were going second and just made a full Horus board what would be the point in making anything if you have a full board of strong monsters that are almost unaffected by anything
@@ThangaLang94 in earlier Yugioh, absolutely, but there are tons of ways to get rid of these bodies without non targetting destruction. Banishing with mirrorjade, baronne destruction, unchained link summoning away, etc. Right now, having a board that prevents your opponent from doing what they want to do is arguably better than having a bunch of hard to kill monsters
