@@sonofhades57 Same reason people don't usually care about fantasy civ games as much, especially if they're very raw civ. There's a weird connection to having actual historical figures that falters when you change them out.
I used to consider Kirsty as kind of a peripheral Yog. But ever since she and Briony did that PlateUp video on the main channel, I've been forced to confront the dark and terrible truth: She's consistently delightful and I love it.
I know people like to slam on Rhythian, but I love him, he's just here to have fun and isn't hyper competitive so when it becomes a choice of trying hard to come back from a bad fall or just chilling and having fun he does the latter. Nothin wrong with that my man, and you play into the situations really well and often get a laugh from me. Keep it up
Problem is after YEARS, he still complains like a whiny teenager when he is losing. Lewis does not do this for example, Duncan also does not do this (unless I have selective memory or something). He is doing a job, streaming for entertainment, he really should strive to not complain/whine as much. But he is like 30+ now, if he hasn't figured it out by now I have little hope for him not whining in the future. To go on a tangent, I know people who are very similar to Rythian. they have an idea of themselves in their head that they are always "reasonable" This idea that they are "reasonable" means they feel like they can always complain, because they must be stating facts, rather than opinions. It also means they are more likely to disregard the opinions of others, because after all "they are reasonable" Some teens are like this but grow out of it. a lifetime of being always online, will probably mean Rythian won't
@@strategystuff5080 what is it with rythian haters being so insanely parasocial you all act like you're personally friends with the yogs. You literally don't know the guy why are you comparing him to people you know in real life based off video game RU-vid videos you're just projecting. Two things last civ play through he did not complain as much as Duncan did when waring with Daltos, secondly he's taking the defeat in good stride at the end he literally jokes with Pyrion about being a vassal like do you just hate who you think Rythian is so much you just dont pay attention when he talks??
@@Omar-lc9uu "insanely parasocial" What like you are right now? white knighting for some guy you have a para-social relationship with? I mean I think that after listening to him for a few years, and watching him interact with people I can make a fair attempt at figuring him out. + I am judging him based on what he shows. If he is some sort of massive giga-chad offline. well that is great for him, but doesn't show in the videos. "why are you comparing him to people you know in real life" I am also comparing him to Duncan and Lewis. Like what am I supposed to compare him to inanimate objects? "you're just projecting" Aren't you just projecting that I am projecting? I don't hate Rtyhain, that is also just a massive assumption you have made. I want him to complain less, and take himself less seriously. His complaining effects, my enjoyment of videos that he is involved in. He doesn't always complain, but he does complain fairly often, and gives up, which is not fun to watch. at least imo. "taking the defeat in good stride" not by my standards, don't get me wrong hes not throwing his toys out of the pram. but he is not considering his opponent at all. Its not fun to play against someone who gives up. See how I just responded to you without assuming anything about you?
Firstly yea insanely parasocial "To go on a tangent, I know people who are very similar to Rythian. they have an idea of themselves in their head that they are always "reasonable" This idea that they are "reasonable" means they feel like they can always complain, because they must be stating facts, rather than opinions. It also means they are more likely to disregard the opinions of others, because after all "they are reasonable" Some teens are like this but grow out of it. a lifetime of being always online, will probably mean Rythian won't" this is not a normal thing a person thinks about when it comes to talking about online youtube personalities and is also literally a projection on your end. As your projecting people you know in real life onto a person you only see/hear online. "why are you comparing him to people you know in real life" I am also comparing him to Duncan and Lewis." you mentioned duncan and lewis and even said that proabably wasn't a fair comparison, " Lewis does not do this for example, Duncan also does not do this (unless I have selective memory or something)" this is what you said now compare that to the above statement you wrote i wouldn't call that a fair comparison. There are video compilations of all the yogs bitching/moaning/raging at things which make your lewis and duncan comparison even less valid. "I don't hate Rythian, that is also just a massive assumption you have made" i think it's a fair assumption to make after you what you wrote about him and yes it was an assumption and it was wrong but it was not a projection which i dont know how you can confuse projection and assumption, they seem similar but are very different. "See how I just responded to you without assuming anything about you?" Also assuming isn't a crime and doesn't dismiss what i was pointing was your weird projection and overly parasocial take. "insanely parasocial" "What like you are right now? white knighting for some guy you have a para-social relationship with?" it's a public video on public webpage if you don't like what is said to you maybe don't write something so strangely negative about a content creator. Usually i don't respond when people try and criticize you tubers but that whole tangent was just projection so i needed to say my piece. Like had you not included that part i would've been like that's a fair criticism, which many levy on rythian but i don't believe is accurate, but you literally just made sweeping statement on a guy you've only seen/heard online. Also on my end, No me pointing out your comparison to people you know in real life isn't me being overly parasocial with rythian it's me letting you know you're getting overly personal with some guy over the internet on your computer. Which actually calling me insanely Parasocial it kinda sounds like an ASSUMPTION fyi especially considering im the one pointing out Rythian is someone we'll only ever know as RU-vid Personality and that's it.
@@fleshhunter8703 I am rooting for a suprise Pyrion win followed by a even more suprising Rythian deception win. But it's more likely Duncan will just dominate and win with prestige before wiping out everyone.
@@victordelfin3073 This was a lie, I regret it, I was gonna win but apparently holding pandaemonium doesn't stop you from losing if some c**t with a +6 to all ranged damage artifact just walks all over your defending forces and takes your seat of power. Joke aside, I love it, I'm just mildly annoyed at that
You either win by prestige and get elected by the conclave at the end of turn 50 (in normal speed game). Or you can take Pandamonium with force by having strong legions, and defending yourself from all other players. There is also a 3rd option, but you have to pick an artifact at the start of the game for that one, and it makes it so you want someone else to win to then steal their victory.
Lewis will never win any Solium Infernum games. It's all about deception and scheming, and he's got too much streamer in him. He telegraphs everything to audience and foe alike. Great content, but bad play.
