Speaking as a life long Texican. Ole Joe is right about two things. Laredo is a shithole, and he named Juarez correctly! But you northern boys can’t handle senoritas or southern girls. They are tuff and mean, can out work ya. But they sure are fun and will keep you well fed and on the straight and narrow. You need to give your Dad a camera. I have a feeling it would be solid gold! And by the way,,,, at least you have the hydraulic settings videoed so you can go back and put them where they were. Huge fan of strip tilling by the way. And they do grow good corn in Florida. Good cotton, good peanuts. And all kinds of fruits and veggies.

Haha love Joe’s music. Dad would probably take a camera honestly. Maybe I can convince him this spring, he’s got a great sense of humor. Probably would be hilarious! I shouldn’t have said it the way I did, Florida is absolutely a great place to farm haha it’s just not Illinois soils. Although I’d leave this black soil in a heartbeat to get away from the politics here.

@@salisburyfarms give the man a camera! I’ve been fortunate and traveled all over on farm tours. Even overseas. Florida, It’s like our soil at home in Tejas, sandy. But I’d take your soil and rain any day. You don’t have to worry about it baking and blowing away after a rain. Cotton is fickle when it’s small like soybeans. It doesn’t like crust when emerging. And if the sand blows when it’s just out of the ground it kills it. Plus sand will leach nutrients. But! We don’t get much snow, only cold for a few days. When you filmed this at Halloween? It was in the 80’s here. It’s 75 today, just sayin!

@peteparker7396 I just need a place to live with class A soils.. that’s 55-85 degree temps everyday of the year with long drawn out all day soaker rains that are timely. Is that too much to ask? 😂

@@salisburyfarms nope! But come on man,,,, we are creatures of habit! We are addicted to the every day challenges! And we would be bored to tears without them.

@peteparker7396 you’re right. Best part of farming is the fact that every day is different!

Curious why yall always run them tractors wide open rpm?
@salisburyfarms
@salisburyfarms 7 месяцев назад
Not any real reason! The tractor was built to run wide open all the time.. but I agree. I could definitely save some fuel by gearing up and throttling back more often 😂 A lot of the times it’s just go mode and not thinking about it. Want to get done asap!
