Jay and his dad Randy are a two man operation. John Deere, Case, International, White... You name it, it's been on the farm. Follow along as they push forward through the good, the bad and the ugly of farming.
I haven’t heard from you for a long time. I hope everyone is ok. I don’t know how to get in touch without giving out my contact info. Please respond to me I’ll check your u tube channel
Had a wedding and a much needed long vacation. Just got back home today. Will be working on some videos tonight. Appreciate you checking in! Next video will be of my strip freshener build that will bring me up to planting season.. It’s been a long time editing and waiting for recovered files. Hope I can get it out soon!
Hey henry smith here like watching your Video can I interest you? Then, maybe see if you needed help. I have formed. I have run our machinery. Not much. I can't do.Please get back with me
I know it… I bought some generic SD cards to hold all my footage and they all bricked.. had to ship them off to be recovered. $200 each SD card and months waiting for them!! Long video of my entire strip freshener build is coming next. That will bring everything back up to speed. Thanks for watchin!
John 3:3-Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:7-Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:16-For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ✝️🙏🏼🤍
You wanna run a real moldboard come on down after Thanksgiving and I’ll put you on an 8 bottom onland switch plow, 18-inch with a sterling gooseneck packer and turn you loose. Just click the guidance button and watch dirt roll over. We don’t moldboard every acer but a lot of our dry land we do so the sand won’t blow. With a semi mount like y’all were runnin, there’s a way to do it measuring to start in the middle and put your dead furrow to the outside.
Awesome video, thank you for sharing, these are the videos you and your dad will remember in the days to come, thank you and God bless you and your family
I don’t disagree with ya! I’ve been havin a terrible time with it! Unfortunately I recently lost a lot of footage and had a bunch of corrupted data. My SD cards had corrupted and I was waiting on them to return from Geek Squad.. so I’ve been spreading out what little footage I had.
@salisburyfarms that blows hard dude...sorry to hear. I like you content so I not loosing a viewer. All you can do is what you can do. Appreciate it and you for doing all you can do.
@dathvader82 it was very upsetting. I thought I lost all the footage of building my strip freshener but I finally got it back. So prayers it’s all there. That will be my next video! Hoping to get that one done soon. It’s a long one. And then we’ll be pretty close to caught up! Sorry for the delays.. and thanks a ton for continuing to watch. Appreciate ya.
😂😂 Just finished today!! Lol man I’ve had the worst time uploading these. Between my internet service and I lost over 10 hours of footage due to corrupted SD cards!!! Been waiting on a recovery team to get those sent back to me.
@@salisburyfarms ah dang it! Well, just so you know, we put around 4000 acres on two of the orthman striptillers and had zero problems. In this video you commented about the word stripper? Dude,,,, I have the original stripper. Cotton strippers have been around way longer than the striptill. My oldest is 28, when he was about 5 I went to the church to pick him up from youth group, in a farming community mind you. When I was immediately cornered by the teacher and preacher wanting to know why I took my son to see a stripper. I had to remind them it was a cotton stripper. The boy had bragged loud and proud about his dad taking him to look at strippers. In their defense it was where my wife grew up and went to church , they didn’t know me or that I farmed. True story.
I literally spit my beer out when you said, “usually don’t have problems with tractors!” Famous last words! And it bit you 😂 you haven’t lived until you have not one, not two! But three tractors go down during planting. Two with transmission problems and one with engine trauma. That will make you both loose your hair, and what doesn’t vanish turns grey.
@@salisburyfarms two warranties and one costly overhaul. That led to an immediate trade, as in we paid for the overhaul and while they waited on parts we drove off in a new to us 8R 410. Like you mentioned your banker? Relationships with bankers and dealerships make or brake you.
@@salisburyfarms I mean I run all green, but from your pov it seems like you guys have had much better luck with the 8270. Less input over the years on it vs the magnum.
@JakeRose4430 yep. Unfortunately that 305 has just been a lemon. Plus we’re going with all John Deere tech.. so makes more sense to get rid of it for a Deere.
Man i could sure use some help I just purchaed rhe starfire 7000 and im lost on how to get this thing setup for planting my tea trees any way yall could point me in how to set this thing up for my rows
Best way to get some help, especially for something that specific, is going to be contacting your nearest John Deere dealership. Or whichever one you purchased it from. Ask them to help you, they will come out and get it all set up for you and teach you quite a bit!
put blades on snap rollers will help with cutting corn, or speed rollers on head , blade adjustments might help or strip bades most combines their automatic if corn is bad or small stalk set blades in being old head might not be working
I have watched all your videos. Don’t Hold that against me. It would be good to have a Camera for your Dad. I hope all have a successful year Will be watching
