@@dediamkamingOff model refers to when a character is not drawn according to their "model sheet", or a set of rules designed to make sure the character looks consistent everytime you see them. Steven Universe infamously goes off model frequently as a stylistic choice, lending itself to an inconsistent art style that changes from scene to scene.
I feel like a lot of people refuse to give modern spongebob a chance because of mid-season spongebob. Seasons like 6 and 7 really did a lot of damage to the show's reputation.
I think it’s a mixture of various elements because even those seasons had their moments. People being stubborn, Nickelodeon’s treatment of the brand, RU-vidrs exaggerating certain things and people instantly believing them. Not to mention the fact about the shows change in style and most people liking the earlier seasons more, which isn’t a bad thing, but it still leads to hate anyway.
I'm reading a lot of comments saying this is like the "ooh, a dollar" joke. And considering this is Mr Krabs, I'm surprised that's not what they actually went with.
@@itscrumbelivableyeah i heard nick has better contracts for their staff than other studios... so you'd think they'd be incentivized to return spongebob to its former glory instead of constantly overdoing the facial expressions. not discrediting their talent, i just wish they'd use it wisely, and scenes like this are a step in the right direction cuz it's more subtle
This reminds me of a show I used to watch as a kid. I don't remember what it was called, but I think a running gag in it was someone pulling a rope, kids shouting at him not to do it, him doing it anyway, and then something bad happened to him.
Mr krabs: those two are so gullible.. (I think he's talking about spongebob and patrick) *then sees a sign that says "pull me" with a rope next to it* Mr krabs: oh look! The rope says "pull me!" *pulls the rope, then gets crushed by an anchor*
