Hey guys and gals its Bill. I want to thank you guys for the kind words. I had to be the one to tell my son at 7 years old that his Mom was gone. It was the worst day of my life but I never saw a boy that age so strong. He read a poem at his mothers funeral while I held the microphone. He did not even waver. There was not a dry eye in the place of hundreds of people. He is my best friend and my shadow. I have a daughter as well who is also my best friend and she was also close to my sons mom. Thank you for being a part of our journey. ❤❤❤

Yessss the live version of How to be Me makes me cry every time. It’s about his friend Joe who took his life and how Ren felt after losing him. If you haven’t yet, also watch “S**cide” and “For Joe” - all three deal with this type of loss through Ren’s personal story with Joe. They were best friends, it breaks my heart because I know the feeling… I really miss the couple of friends I’ve lost this way, too. 🥺😔💔
Perfect reaction!! So many people feel the need to explain this song when no explanation is necessary. You either feel it/ get it, or you don't. While I've never ( thankfully ) experienced depression or needed to take medication, I've been around it. I'm excited to see another duet from them, How To Be Me, a happier song is Losing It.

Such a beautiful and emotional song by Ren and his musical sibling. This one always reminds that one of the (many) things that makes Ren so great is his ability to know exactly when to be complex, keep it simple, or even use silence to get his message across. He isn’t flexing his guitar skills in this, just playing exactly what is needed with that beautiful guitar tone. And my favourite line in this is so simple, totally devoid of all the clever metaphors that he is so good at using, but it hits soooo hard: “I’m scared of being okay cause all things change”. I think anyone who has been through any struggles can relate to that feeling of not trusting that anything good will last. You can’t just enjoy it because you’re busy worrying about how long it will last and the feeling that will come when it’s gone. And then good days just make the darkness feel so much worse because you remember the light that’s gone… Ren is so special. He keeps being so relatable that it reminds us that we’re not alone. And we will always make room for more RENegades down the Ren rabbit hole cause we all need his light in the darkness 🐰🕳️
Ren & Chinchilla are so good together it's ridiculous. When you appreciate the sonic quality of their duet as much as you both did, I would recommend for your next Rensday their duet "How to be Me (Live)". I think you will love it.

Even if you don't react to it check out the lyric video of this too, there's a lot more instrumentation. Usually I can pick a favorite and say which version I like but I truly love the studio and live versions equally for different reasons. And Chinchilla is amazing. I would recommend checking out Terms and Conditions, Lockdown Getdown, and Trigger. All three are under appreciated but some of the best she's done.

We have to figure out together how one generation went thru the depression and lived in constant fear of nuclear annihilation and made it thru reasonably well and now people can't deal with anything without medication. This is not a joke or a knock on anyone. There has to be a reason for this and if there is a reason there is a solution. I'm cool with debate but if you don't understand what I mean by that then I don't believe you want a solution. Some people fear the solution some people use the reason as their excuse for everything. I guess it depends what you're really trying to do.

You haven't 'taken both of those', because serotonin isn't a pill, lol. It's a neurotransmitter and hormone. One that's usually at below normal levels during real depression. :)
