Yeah, the background music was impromptu, and the laughter at the end was because I was at attention, saluting, which you guys wouldn't have seen... Thanks as always for the watch Scott, I do appreciate it!
Yeah, taps was the college kids in the background, busting on dad. Sorry to see mr arrow go, but it was a funny impromptu moment Saturday night , which I will call a bit of a celebration of his life...
I bet it’s a molt....this happened to my Halloween hermit crab, and just this morning, with the white-footed hermit crab that was banished to the molly breeding tank after he tried to yank the Halloween hermit out of his shell. 😁 What’s left doesn’t look meaty enough to be a dead crab body. To me, anyway.... 🤞🏻 And yes, the laughter, they just don’t understand do they? 🤔
Sorry to hear about your arrow crab. I understand the loss due to trying to help my mom with her tank and lost everything. Hoping that I don't experience that with my first personal tank.
Tears streaming down my cheeks as I laugh with your family. I'm sorry but I am still hoping that in a few days he will pop out from his hiding place to show off his new suit of armor.
Kind of funny, I was pretty attached, since we spent so much time in the basement together. Not like a dog or anything, but certainly more than any other crabs.
He'll be back. Either you find him in a few days - It really looks like a molt just the position of the shell. Or you can always get another one. You should have had your kids rip open what was left to confirm it was either a shell or there was still flesh inside (kidding).
Well, time will tell. The fuel behind much of the laughter was alcohol, which is what happens when the college age kids come home. I wish I had suggested the dissection, as they would have done it, I think...
