Grant is just like me when I was little and used to ride with my Dad every chance i got to. Before you know it Grant will be helping out, and running equipment. Awesome video, you never can have too much hay.

Never have to much hay. My grandpa was dairy farmer he always said you need atleast 6 months carry over prefer 12 months. That was in the 70s as long as you rotate should be fine. He had 3 barns he stored hay in back then he did all small squares.

Seeing Grant reminds me when my son would ride with his grandpa in the tractor plowing in the fall, he would get tired and fall asleep behind the seat in the 4430!

You remind me so much of my Past Brother in law he was a Wrestler and couldn’t go to Vietnam because of knee injuries and he was my Second Dad teaching me about the farm and Was a Ag Teacher for 50 years! I’m so glad you got in the Auto Steer on the older Tractors! We just sold Calves and topped $320 on 500# steers! I know you are a Dairy Farmer but Beef is Bringing Stupid Prices! It’s Too Bad For people who have to Go to the Store and like me Paying $6.00 a pound for Burger!

Kip I have never figured out why you never got one of those round bales accumulator from the back of your round balers I would think runny nose, skid, steers, cross the field, tearing the hell would wreck your hayfields

Thanks for another great video Kip. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Wow. Lots of round bales that is for sure. Nice you have a shed that you can put some of them in. Keeps them dry. Like that old 4020 tractor. Keep that. Nice to hear about all the you tube channel farmers that were at the John Deere test farm. Must have been nice to see all of them and be able to visit with them. About it I guess. Thanks for everything. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

check out a bale wrapper for your hay. alot cheaper than a barn plus doesnt take up equipment storage. inline not an individual bale wrapper.

It looks like the tall corn is on the tile lines and you have compaction in-between the tile. We are just a state west of you and would be happy if some of this rain would go to you. Spring started good in April then started raining and hasn't stopped.

When you build your commodity shed for soy cotton seed distillers and minerals put an extra bay on for hay. O you might want to add teeth to your bucket cause that haylage digs out hard. Nothing like corn silage.

How much feed deterioration do you see when sitting those bales on the ground? Better to sit them on something like old pallets? I've heard 30% loss of bales over a season.

@martywade5519
@martywade5519 3 месяца назад
I think you could get a few more bales in there if you put them all in the flats, put the first one on the flats and lay the second one on the flat stick the prong through the middle of it light up or a flat way and you can stick the third one through the middle on the in the round and said it on the top. I think you can get them three almost.
