We have been metal detecting thie old 1600's farm field for the past month or so and digging up some of the earliest coins and coolest pieces we may have ever found! Now we just got access to the adjacent property so the field that keeps on giving just doubled in size! The orignal settlers built early houses and trading posts right up again a creek tributary that runs right through the woods line behind us so this field was riddled with early activity all throughout the area. Once we fire up the detectors and move into the right spots there's just no telling what's going to be found!
Upcoming events:
March 9th and 10th - Hudson Antique Show - Canfield Ohio
Join Lynne as a special vendor at this large primitive antique show and sale located at the Canfield Expo Center. Lynne will have a booth with her early Colonial antiques and would love to chat with some viewers from channel.

When I saw Rich’s gold monogrammed artifact, it looks a lot like a piece of a watch fob that is a wax seal feature on the fob. I found such a fob and the majority of the fob is a plated gold lion figuring, but there was a pure gold base that has the same type of script initials. I could see that his find is such a base. Mine has a lion figure that sits on the base with a ring for chaining the fob to the pocket watch. Seems plausible that this is such an artifact instead of the pin. One way to be sure it is a pure gold base is to carefully inspect the depth of the script initials. Plating is very thin and the edges of the script will expose copper if plated. Mine is a treasured find dating from the mid 1800s
