The drummer is dictating what they are doing ...going forth and back and side. he is speaking to them. He is also controlling their emotions and telling what is happening at each stage of the dance. when there is danger or a need for a fight he will change the drums and they will fold the white front of their cap outward cause it's red. then he will tell them by the drums the formation and fighting pattern .
