Every year, during the "Hamura Flower and Water Festival" in Hamura city, the "Hamura Spring Festival (Yakumo Shrine Annual Spring Festival)" is held on the second Saturday and Sunday of April. The main festival features the Inari Shrine's portable shrine crossing the Tama River below the Hamura Weir (in a water parade), attracting many tourists who come to see the brave sight, making the event a very lively event every spring.
