Hamura City holds the Hamura Spring Festival (Yagumo Shrine Spring Festival) on the second Saturday and Sunday of April during the annual Hamura Flower and Water Festival. In the main grand festival, the mikoshi (portable shrine) of the Inari Shrine crosses the river under the weir of Hamura in the Tama River, which is bustling with visitors every spring to see its gallant form.
