Ohio goes on an insane, record breaking 40-0 scoring run in their game against Cleveland State. Ohio led 46-25 late in the first half, and at the 8 minute mark of the second half they led 86-25. This scoring run broke a college basketball record, as it was the largest run by a D1 team against a D1 opponent. The Bobcats went on to win 101-46.

Since this game they lost to Ohio State by 6 the Vikings have now won 8 in a row in the Horizon League. You may know the horizon league from when Butler played Duke in the National Championship. Cleveland State has also made the sweet 16 twice. Last appearance was with NBA player Norris Cole. They’ll win the conference

@@chaseclute7171 I had 16 points, all layups from inbound pass steals. I probably stole 10-12 passes minimum. I don't know why they didn't throw it over my head to get it inbounds. I missed more layups than I made that game.

That’s a good game besides the missed layups. My best game was I got 10 rebounds in 6 minutes. There was only 16 possessions left in that game when that happened. In those 6 minutes I had 4 assist 4 points. Sadly tho I’m a benchwarmer.

@@chaseclute7171 Yeah I got much better in the next few years but only played one more year organized and I actually turned out to be a really good outside shooter. The rest was playground. I dont think I've played basketball at all in about 20 years. That game I was talking about was in 1989.

Cleveland State had some very good teams under Coach Waters. When Butler was still in the Horizon League CSU normally gave the Butler fits. For one reason or another the end of Waters' tenure went badly and they haven't been the same since.

All basketballs players below GOAT contention level have been on the wrong end of a scoring run. OK, 40 friggin' points is extreme -- that's why we clicked on the video. A little history for those who "didn't know Cleveland State existed": Cleveland State pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NCAA. Tournament back in 1986. You might not remember, but Indiana University Hoosier fans remember . . . and wince.
