The fourth session of the 2024 Ohio State University Extension Beef Team’s Virtual Beef School was hosted via ZOOM on April 18th. This year’s four evening Beef School sessions took a deep dive into production practices and factors that impact quality and profitability when marketing beef directly to consumers. This fourth and concluding Beef School session featured a Producer Marketing Roundtable where the panelists shared their views on What Works and What Doesn’t in their operations as they direct market their beef. The producer panelists included Krysti Morrow of Rocky Knob Farms, Brad Berry from Berry Family Farms, Lindsey Hall of Maplecrest Meats & More, and Dale Phillips, owner of Phillips Meats.
