Ohio Mile 2016 ECTA Top Speed Challenge, full event Movie filmed by Aries Xecutioner for Wyld Fantasies Media Studios. This film features most of the automobiles, trucks and bikes that raced the Ohio Mile season opener event on Sunday, May 1st, 2016 at the Wilmington Ohio Air Strip, with 500+ timed passes were made in one weekend, sending cars down the full standing mile with trap speed broadcasted over the radio channel. Some of the fastest cars of the event were competing in the Hot Rod Top Speed Challenge, and the cars in the Super Street class had some great head to head competition i the 200+mph zone on the final day of the event.
Many of the machines and vehicles in this video include Mustangs of every different engine combination including a blown flathead Foxbody (Scrap Iron 2: 1985 Mustang with supercharged 286 cubic inch Flathead Ford motor on gas. Record holder at Bonneville) and many new 5.0L Coyote's, twin 80mm turbocharged 5th Gen Camaro, various Corvettes, Suzuki and Kawasaki motorcycles, 2 stroke bikes, Land Speed trucks, custom Hot Rods, vintage racers and many more.
The black 5th Generation Camaro is a beast from Detroit, a car that caught fire and sold to the owner to build a car to drag race, he used Copo Camaro suspension and added a Steve Morris built racing engine with twin, 80mm turbos on low boost for this, his first ever Land Speed ECTA event. Later in the event, on his final pass after meeting all the tech and license requirements are met, the Michigan built "TIME WARP" Camaro breaks the 200mph barrier with a wide-open 210mph pass on about 6psi of boost, with much more speed and potential still obviously left on the table. Congratulations to the Time Warp team from Michigan on their first 200mph pass!
After a few cars in the Super Street class laid down a few 200+mph passes, the red Mustang s-197 featured in the second half of this video makes its final, best wide-open pass, putting down as many of the 2,000hp worth of ponies to the ground into a strong headwind at its first Land Speed event, the Mustang lays down a powerful 222mph pass, the second fastest speed of any vehicle at the event, and sealing the deal to win the Blown Fuel Super Street class and take a win in the Hot Rod Top Speed Challenge, congratulations to the Rydin Decal team, and the Red TT Mustang's team and pit crew for laying down a great pass and taking home the class win!
NOTE: This mile event pushed the limits of my camera to the max, and the rolling shutter at full zoom is terrible in a few parts of this video. I doctored some of it hoping to improve the quality but just made it more choppy. On top of that, I rushed production and caused a few glitches in the edit where I inserted some photos, so that edit is choppy in some places, and my videos don't usually have these issues. I am saving for a new, better camera and will take more time reviewing my videos before upload, thanks for watching.
