That Blew By You Chevy is so badass when it's coming over the hill to the starting line! And Iove the idle on that monster. And yes, his back-up girl is pretty awesome too.
+Frozin60s You can hear Bret Kepner over the PA, though I wouldn't consider that annoying. But yeah, no TV commentators getting paid by the syllable to talk over the exhaust noise.
Quaker is a 1/4 mi. track , but for ins. reasons they sometimes need to shorten it as they all have 1/8 mi. timers it is easy to do. The track is very safe with a good shutdown area and yes , my home track .
It's the '55's and the Henry-J's that made me love gassers. My favorites are a high-boy '55 and any Henry-J gasser. Gotta have them moon-eyes lookin' at them weed burners!
Well I'll be damned,, been 2 years since I saw this awesome video and I'm back,, LUV'N EVERY SECOND just as much as I did the first time I saw it and although I love to watch each and every one of these guys in AA/GS Steve Cook and his "BlewByYou" '56 Chevy is still my favorite hotrod - EVER! He really gives the fans everything he and his hotrod have each and every LOOOONNNG Smoky burn in, wheels up dry hop and balls to the wall pass. Twice Thumbs UP!!
This is a really great video! Reminds me of when I was a kid going to Numidia Dragway in Bloomsburg. I love all those old Gassers although Angleas are about my favorite.
