Jacob should have Reported the carnival worker and just because the carnival worker is having a bad day it doesn't give him the right to be racist and rude to paying customers
that "no one wants to ride with you" pissed me off hearing that. Jacob doesn't disrespect nobody and you can tell he's so kind hearted in every situation. The ride operator is miserable and i'm proud of you jacob for continuing with the video and not letting words get to him. Keep it up
My next stop would have been the Midway Office, to report that rude jerk, and I would have tried to bring somebody from management out to the midway with me so that rude employee could could see me pointing him out and calling for his job! I'm sorry, but I just don't have Jacob's patience with jerks...
I don't know about all of you, but I LIVE for every single chance where Jacob get's to mention his love and appreciation for Quilts! TCB is the USA's #1 Quilt Fan!!
"No one wants to ride with you." Excuse me, what the hell does that even mean?! Isn't that person just the heart of the party.. Had I by some magic been there, I would have ridden the coaster with you. I would have said that just to shut the guy up and to see the look on his face. Thank you for another fun video!
So good to see you at Ohio State Fair. This video brought back so many memories. As a born & raised Buckeye. I have been to the fair many of times. Back when I was a kid. They had free concerts. I seen Johnny Cash several times. Along with many others. Thank you for this video Jacob! Safe Travels!
Nobody wanted to ride with you? Are they crazy!? If we're ever at the same fair I'll ride with you. That's huge because I don't usually ride anything! Plus, I might get into the vlog! That would be an honor!
OK... look I'm in my 40s and my mind is blown by Smokey... how it the heck does he work?? Is there a guy operating with a mic like they do in theme parks? How does he know people's names? RFID tags on wristbands/tickets? Facial recognition? Is it just freakin' magic??? I need to know this... Also Smokey is a beloved icon from growing up.
As a kid there was a talking snow man in my town's Christmas festival that seemed similar to Smokey. My mom admitted later that they had a service where parents would tell an employee their kids names and any special events like birthdays so the actor could incorporate it. For Smokey, I think I see a camera lens on a pole to the right (with a hat probably to protect from rain), and I bet there's a mic hidden somewhere so that the actor can be in a room somewhere while seeing and hearing everyone. Disney has an even more advanced version of this called Turtle Talk with Crush.
Also, I found this video of a talking Paul Bunyan statue that looks like it works in a similar way: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D4jk1_bdMxI.html
Thank you for this video, being disabled I can no longer enjoy the state fair anymore, but I have always enjoyed, the Ohio State Fair is one of the best!
If I were a lost kid, that pig would scare me half to death. I remember getting lost at Geauga Lake. They would take you to the security office and announce it on the PA system. (Wait…. Does everyone know that PA stands for public address?). Back to the video…
That mean guy got it wrong... everyone in the comments wants to ride with You Jacob ❣️😺 I think the spinning bear ride should be called the Beary-Go-Round 🐻😹 That cotton candy deviled egg is the weirdest fair food that I have heard of 😳 By the look on Your face it's a good thing You only ate one 🤢😖😂 Yay for visiting State Fairs with You 🙌🌟😺 Thank You Jacob 🙏💝😻
I love the original art on the rides at that fair it's so colorful and unique to say the least, don't sweat being solo on these outings I often go out by myself to movies, restaurants, museums etc it's peaceful like a little date just for you more people should try it
This is one of the best channels I have ever found! I was about to skip past you when something told me to just check out your channel, and since then I have been hooked! I have been subbed for a few months now! Keep up the phenomenal work!
Finally!! An answer to the Smokey Bear name debate. Thanks Jacob ❤ That's the same question I would have asked. And if he'd told me his name had "the" in it, I maybe would have told him he wasn't the real Smokey Bear. 😂
Jacob I would ride with you anytime, you are lots of fun. Now the Haunted house dark rides are the same made by Owen Dark Rides, they have different designs and themes and you can customize the scares that move for each one. I've worked with a carnival long time ago and learned about this.❤
You doing all those dark rides made me remember that a commercial said Bush Gardens Williamsburg got a new dark ride this year. Also you saying that all 50 states had state fairs made me wonder what a cold Alaskan state fair would be like and a hot Hawaiian state fair would be like.
Jacob never denounces anything. But, I think I may have been able to translate a bit of "Jacobspeak:" "That was something." = "That was gustatory torture." And-- "That was interesting." = "That had to be the dumbest museum exhibit (or whatever) I've ever seen, but I'm too polite to say so."
This made my day, thank you so much Jacob. I love fairs! I cannot wait for the Florida State fair to come back around. Also, for someone who gets queezy just spinning around, I REALLY appreciate you showing the darkrides and less-than thrill rides.
I grew up in Columbus and thought the Ohio State Fair was the only fair with a butter cow. Very disappointed to learn that other state fairs also have butter cows.
I love a state fair, especially the great State Fair Of Texas! Ohio is pretty fun as well! I wonder who win in a Kaiju Battle between Smokey Bear and Big Tex?? 😂
The look on your face is priceless!!! Cotton Candy Deviled Egg does NOT sound good to me at all!!! Attaboy, Carpetbagger, for giving it the ol' college try!!!
Oregon state fair always wraps up Labor Day Weekend. Just a heads up for when you decide to visit. They have different events each day, always check the schedule to plan ahead.
So glad you made it back to Columbus for the state fair . I was kind of afraid that car accident might of scared you away from our beautiful state. Ohio is always happy to have you visit us.
Jenn would have lost her mind seeing the carebear. To be honest - I would have too. I worked for State Farm for 13 years. And yes they are going to be bugging you. 😂
Computer Correction AGAIN ,:: RiDE components not RUDE, as this phone computer thinks it should be!!! It constantly corrects me and is ALWAYS WRONG!!!! Sorry!!!
I try to go to the fair every 20 years or so. I think I went once in the eighties. Watching this counts. Thank-you. You saved me the trouble. I will be 90 when it is time to go again and I hope to be dead by then..
14:12 LMAO, nice. 🐻 22:16 the Dunkleosteus (Dunk-lee-Oh-stee-us) was a top predator during the end of the Devonian Period about 383 million years ago. Btw, I would have went on the ride with ya. That carny is crazy.
You need to check out the BIG E “ Estern States Expo” in Springfield Massachusetts! Starts Mid to Late September features all different state house in Mass! Great Food! Music & rides! Our state fair I’m guessing !
First off, thank you for the OSF adventure. That Cotton Candy infused hard boiled egg... Yuck hahahaha. The dude who said no one wants to ride with you.. wow, seemed rude... I would love to tell you stuff I would love to do to a jackwagon like that. Keep'em coming Bagger.
Thanks for taking me to the state fair. We did not go this year. Too hot and same thing every year. The fair this year looks sooo empty. Usually it's packed full of people.I love to shop in those buildings. I loved how you wrapped a horses leg. No vet you are..lol..Glad you had fun. Ky's fair is coming up pretty soon. The cakes are beautiful..I loved the 2 restaurants they had there. Great chance to sit and rest.
That was great Sir !! Pennsylvania does not have a state fair - but we have three of the biggest and best fairs on the East Coast. Allentown Fair. The York Inner-State Fair and The Great Bloomsburg Fair !!! The York Fair is the oldest Fair in the country !! Safe travels.
Jacob, the Indiana State Fair is going on now too! Don't know if you made a video of it yet or not. Thought I would let you know. Love watching your travels.❤
The Cardinal is the state bird of North Carolina, unless they have changed it. Hummm... Cool, I just looked it up, and the Cardinal is also the state bird of Ohio! ❤
Crazy mouse is one of my favorite fair and boardwalk coaster for those rides two peoples is mandatory i remember asking about it and its for weight distribution and due to the tight turns itll yank a single rider around causing injury risks even tho ya each end up with a bruises shoulder at the end cause the arm facing out hits the side of the car
Very cool place, Jacob and great video too! I keep thinking, with your growing popularity and recognition, if they made a public announcement over the Fair speaker that the famous Jacob, the Carpetbagger was there in person, I'm sure there'd be a line of people who'd love to ride with you on the 'no single rider' rides.
You need to checkout the Indiana st fair while you’re in the Midwest it has a lot of attractions and one of the largest and most unique state fairs in the world it is happening around the see time the Ohio state fair is and a very quick commute from Ohio to Indiana
Love your content Jacob but I am especially enjoying your state fair tours!! By the way "That guy with the puppets" is Jeff Dunham. Hilarious comedian.
Great video! I went to this fair many times growing up. Haven’t been in years. Was hoping to see the “ butter cow”. It was always something we had to go see 🤷🏼♀️
Jacob, we need to get you to the North Georgia State Fair in Marietta, this September. September 25th and 28th, for the first time ever they are having demolition derbys that are paying 3500 to the winner. And the derbys are going to be inside a covered arena, so there's no chance for a rain out. Would love to see you there!
I don't think Massachusetts has an official state fair, but if you feel like heading out to the coast this fall it would be cool to see your thoughts on King Richard's Faire. There are ren faires all over the country, but this is one of the few that has a permanent site.
I stumbled across your videos. I find that interesting. One thing you might consider adding to your reviews is kind of an overall wrap up some kind of comments on how one fair compares with other fares. Just kind of an idea of your thoughts of what you like and don’t like about each fair.
